I think that if you honestly want to talk with her you have two choices.  First you can wait around for the small chance she will see your profile and talk to you or you can just try and send her a polite message.  Make sure it looks like you are honestly interested in her but don't spill out your whole life story.  It's always safer to go with being kind and well mannered than trying to act the way you think she might like you to act.
