I get terrible foot cramps sometimes, and so appreciate a nice foot rub. Someone who actually knows about Reflexology would be wonderful, IMO.

I'm curious why it is pleasing to the person being worshipped. I've had dominant fantasies, but I could never see myself getting off on my feet being kissed or licked. But from the other side of the D/s dynamic . . . . . . .

If you have never had your feet kissed or licked, you have no idea what you are missing out on. ~laughs~
I will be honest, tongues between my toes make me squirm and wiggle. I don't find it erotic, it just tickles.
I prefer catlike licks to full on slurps.
But attention to the feet is just delicious. So often we abuse our feet, walk on them, wear shoes that don't fit, ignore them. To have them be pampered and paid attention to is a special delight.

I've had my toes sucked on - didn't do much for me ... so the oral side of foot worship isn't my thing. The rest of it though - pedicures, foot baths, massages, etc. ... oh yeah, I'm all for that.

Its been a long time since I've seen this kind of consensus. Its been my experience that foot treatment can turn a woman's mood around. Its subtle, not too sexual, submissive, and well wired into a lady's senses.

Guess that would be me. Although I pointedly do not refer to it as foot worship, as I'm a fairly religious person and consider the worship of anything physical to be idolatry.

First off, there's the mental/symbolic aspect and all the history behind it. It's been used as a means of prostrating oneself for ages, and kind of involves showing deep appreciation even for the "lowest" (depending on cultural context) part of the Dom. As Samwhiplash says, it's a power rush, although that's not the whole story about the mental side of things.

Secondly, it feels good, physically. The feet have a fairly high density of nerve endings, even in men, so even if women are more sensitive to touch in general, the feet are one of the few areas of the body where a man can enjoy physical touch as much as the woman.

Done right, it can be almost as physically pleasurable as penile stimulation of the same kind; I would guess this can be the same for women, as the glans and clitoris are derived from the same tissue and nerve endings. As someone pointed out, it's hard to get wrong, although nephandi has demonstrated that practice still makes perfect.

As for foot rubs, I don't know. That doesn't seem to do anything for me. A pedicure might look good, but it takes a fair bit of time and it's not something I'm into by itself, so we don't do that. If I want one, I'll go to a salon that takes men instead.

If I were to bottom for someone, I'd be bored by these parts, except for the kissing/licking/massaging, although I'd do them. And personally, I get nauseated by the smell of nail polish, so that part would be best left out unless one wants their feet subjected to a Roman Shower.

I'm guessing women abuse their feet more than men do, while men probably ignore them more than women do. Not only is the physical sensation delightful, but paying attention to something you're not usually paying attention to gives a different kind of experience, as well.

Reflexology is easy enough to learn and relaxes the entire body; doing things for internal organs that can't be helped at all with a massage.

A former Mistress used to love getting her feet rubbed as she was approaching her time of the month (and during it as well) as the reflexology I performed at the same time as I rubbed her feet greatly helped to reduce the severity of her PMS symptoms; making life easier for me as well.
