I believe that I pointed out at the very beginning of this thread some of the ways that our boy "manipulates" us sometimes ... and you are right, they aren't always negative. But people like the one that OP was talking about are negative, and use it for negative purposes. That kind of manipulation is bad. And using that kind of manipulation as the only tool to find "The One" is very bad.
