Meaning of Paul. It's originally Hebrew and means "small" or "humble." According to the Babynames site: Origin : Latin, English, French Meaning : Little one You'd think...perfect name for a submissive right? My mom was trying to be creative and mixed her mother's and sister's names to make mine. Combining their meaning together as well, it comes out to mean "pure maiden" from it's Gaelic roots. Wow, was that way off course for what I turned out to be, or perhaps I was a reble against my name all along and I never knew it . . .

Robyn - Didn't have to use your link, I know what it means. It's short for Robinson, the last name of a guy who was good friends w/ my parents during my incubation. Gestation. Whatever. Course, the linky thing was tempting, and I now know that my name is an alternate form of Robert (yeah right, my fat ass) and means bright; shining; fame. Yep, that's me to a T. Bright and shiny...oooh! (sorry that's an attention deficit joke) Elorin apparently doesn't mean anything b/c it's not in their database, but I already know what that means too, because I picked it out. I've heard that bitter is a reference to sea water and that Mary could also mean ocean. In Latin this is so, whence maritime and marine. One of the names used by some Catholics to honor Mary is Stella Maris, Star of the Sea.
