CM is loaded with people like this. The rule of thumb is to never send money over the internet to people you do not know. The internet is loaded with scams and identity theft. It's just not worth it.

Don't react to your experience by pointing fingers & drawing conclusions that people in this "lifestyle" are out to get your money... rather look at how to recognize the unwanted behavior & avoid from others in all walks of life.
