Have you ever had a really long dry spell where you were just not seeing anyone? Not even a booty call or one night stand. How long was it, if you aren't embarrassed to say? Are you a real smoothie that always has companionship with hardly anytime alone at all or a recluse?

5 years... and it is very embarassing, but hey, I would rather take care of "things" myself than have bad sex... bad sex sucks

My dry spells are usually by choice. I have gone months, up to a year, without a partner of any sort. No booty calls (I dont do one nighters) My latest run has been about 4 months. I have company, just none of it romantic. Dv

I'm on month 4 and I'm not liking it. I did have a gap of about a year and a half. I'm a bit reclusive. So I met a sub on here and was having a great time. I didn't realize how lonely I had been. It fell through, but now I feel lonely where the previous gap, I didn't suffer too much.

Many people though are perfectly happy on being single. Its not abnormal. Other people can't stand being alone. It depends on personality.

About two years with no prospects in sight. No embarassment here. Happy and content with my life as it is at the moment. [:)] Alot of people in a relationship can't say that. mbmbn

I hold the odd belief that men regain their virginity after a year without sex. While I've never quite reached that point, I have gone without even a one-nighter for 364 days three times in a row (3 years)

I didnt do much for almost a year after I left my ex. I did not do much of anything for 11 months after my next wife left the first time, we got back together for a month or so, and quite a few months after that before I hooked up with strumpet. I tend to take a long time between relationships. I dont like taking the problems of the last relationship into the next relationship. I want them to last. Sinergy

i truly wish i had taken a great deal of time between boyfriends but i doubt i've been alone for more then 2 months at a time not dating or in a relationship. It could be because i come from a large family and i'm the youngest. i'm now trying to go at least two years without getting married....blahhhhh

Relationships are a lot of work, and I refuse to enter into one just because I don't want to be in "dry spell" mode. My last semi-long-term relationship ended about a year ago, yet I have been sexually active much more recently. Half of my marriage was a perpetual dry spell, and I have been happier single, having shorter-term relationships, or more casual relations until the right person comes along. If that doesn't happen, I will still be better off than settling for someone who isn't a perfect (or close to it) fit.

any answer i give would, unfortunately, be skewed by the sad fact that i have always seemed to have a better sex life when i was single than when i was in a relationship i've been with Ma'am since september and faithful the entire time, i have been abstinate since october... this is not due to the any restrictions from Ma'am (other than the fact that we don't have sex or play during training), it's just that i feel that anything i do with another woman outside of our relationship would be cheating so, i've been autosexual for the last 6 months

It'll be three years in Sept for me and I kind of like living alone. I can come and go as I please, do what I want. I'm thinking about going to Sweden, Denmark and Ireland (again) next year. And if I need a bit of company there's the escort services here right in the Yellow Pages. Life is good!
