OMG , I *know*!  Since Battlestar's over, this is the only show I watch regularly now. I've seen every ep, and this was definately the hottest EVER.
Hot vampire with total fuck-me hair is flogged, tempted, flogged some more. Offered a woman, but takes a man. Good lord, I nearly died.
It seems that with the mainstreaming of bdsm, scenes have been on television with more frequency lately, but it seems they usually look a little too hammed up.
Henry totally had me convinced he was in total, thriving, bucking bestial pain.

You really can't go wrong with the premise, though. Or anything involving a St. Andrews Cross (the posts on it were so thick and beautiful! Makes mine look flimsy in comparison. and I liked the thickness of the chains), a Catholic priest and the Spanish Inquisition is an instant crowd pleaser.

The blog from the author whose books this series is based on, said that they had to use real chains for him because the actor got so into the scene he kept breaking the prop chains. Yeah, they were prop chains when Henry does finally break free.

Huff (the author) said she was totally turned on by the torture scenes too. Is that cool or what?!

its awesome and notice whats her face picks the key and the sun back up. I think her trust in henry is wavering a bit. Watchign henry getting punished was semi hot for me because I would have loved it more if it me or some other chick. Spanish Inquisitor trying to cheat death did nothign for me. Still it was a very good epi. Something tells me our little Henri (who was also in the Covenant for anyone who saw it but didn't recognize him) is a lil more than vanilla.

Totally.

In a previous episode a former girlfriend who is a witch (black magic it seems) comments to him that he didn't mind her tying him up before. Then Henry points out that he wanted that, he didn't want her using her magic on him and he dumps her again. Made me think that he understands something about consent too.

What is this "television" thing you keep talking about? Did it replace the wandering minstrels that entertain my village?

After spending 4 years now with no reception, no cable and no dish, I'm having the same response, to an extent. Although I do watch the various series when nephandi buys the DVD boxes, I don't watch TV, even when I can.

And the only thing I have to say about it is a very emphatic "good riddance".

That said, we will definitely watch this series when it comes out on DVD. She has ... ahem ... previewed a few episodes, and it looks promising. For those of you who liked it, you could also consider Hex: Bloody. Hell. (2 seasons; available on DVD), Poltergeist: The Legacy (4 seasons?; 1 available on DVD so far), Supernatural (still running, I think; first season on DVD), and possibly a few others.

Living in the city of the Seven Mountains has accidentally done wonders for what I spend my time on, though. [:D]
