Well, if someone tells me "nice profile" I know they are lying.

Might I ask what they are serving?  Could it possibly be dinner of steak and lobster?  If so, please, I would enjoy participating.

There are the three horticultural domes in Milwaukee not too far away.  You could look, study and learn about the growth of special fauna and tropical trees, possibly even spring flowers of all sorts.  I am sure you could locate someone experienced.  Goodluck !

I find that when I write "Nice photo" I get no response. However, when I am specific and say "The first photo on your profile has awesome contrasting colors" or "I like the soft focus on your photograph, it makes the object of the photo really stand out." I get responses that often lead to conversations.

In the same when, when I read "I liked your profile" I give no response. When I read something specific that says "I'm very interested in service without the sexual aspect." or "What groups have you done presentations for?" I give responses that often lead to conversations.

Length is not a hard and fast rule. But I can tell you that a paragraph is, in general 3 - 4 sentences. 2 paragraphs is about all I'm going to read. If you don't know HOW to make paragraphs, by using the key marked "Enter" on your keyboard, I'll get through the second or third sentence. My eyes start to glaze at do-me e-mails (I'm interested in X, Y, and Z), e-mails that read like form letters, and anything that says "Hello Mistress" and ends with "I can relocate." in a first e-mail.

While I ~will~ rarely respond to some e-mails without punctuation, grammar, good spelling, or capitalization, use of all of the former improves your chances of a response.

A second post because it's the fun one.

"Hello."
"Howdy."

"I like your boots."
(Ok, I'm a sucker for boot lovers.) "Thanks, I do too. I'm a boot slut, at last count had about 40 pair in the closet."

"here's my yahoo name, you can im me"
"Why yes, I can"

"May I ask what part of San Antonio you live in?"
"Yes, you may."

"Mistress could you use a slave to serve you?" (I get this a lot from out of country subs)
"Yes, do you know anyone in San Antonio who likes to clean cat boxes, cook, and do ironing?"

I concur; the one liners are quite annoying, however, dominants aren't the only ones who receive them. The effort you put into a message reflects your commitment and aspirations.

the one i like  that I received , was " how openminded" for my handle
And that was from a male dom that I have no interest in being involved with

Reminds me of that movie "40 year old virgin" and the scene where he is trying to pick up that blond woman in the book store. His reponses are all one liners and really says nothing at all. But you know something , it worked for him lol

It just arrived.......maybe the shortest email ever.

"HI"

Err the exclaimation marks doubled it`s length. What is the protocol here ? Do we proceed slowly and once we know each other start using three letter words. Or shall i leap in as though we are old friends and use a few four later words ?

I use this:

I must admit that I am intrigued by your one line message and would love to know more. Sadly as you displayed such a lack of effort, I have now blocked messages from you... Thanks for letting me know that you would have wasted my time.

I totally don't get why people don't read the profiles. I'm *pretty* sure my profile is clear and well written

Nonetheless, I still get submissive men asking to serve me. ((Yeah, right. want to play parcheesi? 'Cause I am so not a Domme! Oh, and I've lived 14 years with another woman, CLUE!!))

The short one-liners aren't as annoying as some of the longer ones, though. I got one creepy dominant man sending me a letter calling me "pet" every other word and basically demanding that I give him my 30 year history of exploration into D/s.  I sent back a reply that started off with, "Sir, while I am a pet, I am not *your* pet..." and he hasn't annoyed me further.

However, somehow I have not been deluged with cockshots, thankfully!

This is the standard email I get. Hi. Give me something to respond to; use the brain, and then they wonder why no subs reply, yeesh.

the greatest portion of women having little else but velleity, poetry and generally ephameral thoughts on profiles yet are pleasing to the eye are very hard to say something too labourous or involved to.  Many one liners, if followed up, *not the ignorant ones* could lead to some pleasing visits, at least.

Well, if she's serving a cup of tea and a nice chocolate biscuit, I'm there.

I receive one-liners occasionally from women.

The one that stuck in my mind ... and this isn't duplicated exactly ... read somethig like, "hav yu evr whipped a rl gurl?"

I replied, "Why yes, thank you for asking." Never did get a response.

What annoys me more, frankly, is when I send someone a two-or-three paragraph thoughtful opening letter in response to an interesting profile, and I get a one-liner back (if the one-liner was to reject me, that would be understandable, but I don't have the energy to respond to something like, "Cute photo, do you like OTK?").
