This song has been special to me for a long time. I'll prolly get a lot of flack or even just no responces but who cares.

I'm that little boy with glasses, ( in my case girl)
the one they call a geek
the little girl who never smiles,
'cause I got braces on my teeth
And I know how it feels to cry myself to sleep

I'm that kid on the playground
who's always chosen last
A single teenage mother,
trying to over come my past,
You don't have to be my friend, if it's too much to ask.

Don't laugh at me
Don't call me names
Don't get your plesure from my pain

In God's eyes were all the same
someday we'll all have perfect wings
Don't laugh at me

I'm fat, I'm thin, I'm short, I'm tall,
I'm deaf, I'm blind Hey arn't we all?

Don't laugh at me
Don't call me names
Don't get your plesure from my pain

In God's eyes were all the same
someday we'll all have perfect wings
Don't laugh at me

I agree with you 100%, I love this song & the video can break your heart. I was that little girl with glasses too, way back when. Now looking back I wouldn't change it at all, it helped me realize that the best friends are those who love you for who you are not what you look like or what you can do for them.

My eye sight started going away at 10.. I was called four eyes and geek and lots of other rude insensitive things. On aladin he says at least I can see better with 4 eyes than you can with two. So that kind of helped.

I never really had friends still do not have very many offline friends. But the true ones I do have would love me if I was 4 eyed 5 headed.

I cried the first time I heard this song. I have never been popular and I never will be. I will always prefer being alone to being with others and will always prefer reading a book to meeting new people. Bullies were cruel to me when I was young and I had to leave school because of it. I still have severe self-esteem issues because of the horrible things they said and I still don't own a single mirror. When I look at myself I still see only ugliness, so I simply avoid looking at all.

I only went to school up until halfway through second grade, it got so bad that my parent pulled me out of school and I was homeschooled until high school. During my high school years I went to three different schools because I was still being bullied. Even now I am picked on, although it's not so bad because my school is full of others like me, the "geeks" and "nerds" who are now going to college for free because of their intelligence.

Sorry this is so long.
I started wearing glasses at 8yrs old & back then they were those hideous catseye frame type (I shudder each time I see those pictures) & of course at that time I went through my ugly stage which didn't help matters. I was called all types of names & it hurt a lot, to this day I hate my name & tell anyone who is pregnant to be careful when choosing their childs name. Being a kid is hard enough without your parents saddling you with a weird name.
All I can say as that I've gotten older, I care less & less about what other people think of me. Please take this in the way I mean it & realize that it's coming from 45 yrs of experience;things that I thought were so important at 20, became much less at 30 & at this point in my life I can barely see why I spent so much time & effort on them. You need to have those friends & family who care about you to keep enforcing the fact that you are a great person who has a great deal to offer. I tell myself when things get bad or I feel no one loves me that it's their loss.
Feline & siamsa, I know each of you have different issues but you both have so much to offer, so try to find those people who will boost you up when you need it, it helps a great deal. As long as you have a few true friends that's all you really need. More is a blessing but not necessary.
