The Beginning

Chills of anticipation
at changes coming fast
Both fear and sweetest longing
as I move on from the past

Greet the new day's dawning
with hopeful, guarded eyes
Seeking truth and wisdom
avoiding tempting lies

Sensations and emotions
explorations yet unknown
Needs and cravings surface
to be guided, to be shown

I start at the beginning
the road so new ahead
Seeking one to walk with
To follow as I am led

a great line, "avoiding tempting lies"... a lesson at 52 I am still trying to learn but would not admit to had you not so aptly written it....thanks for the reality shot!
