I would like to plan a vacation in a beach area on the east coast located close to a wonderful golf course.  Does anyone have suggestions?

you might check some resorts in north carolina.  Have heard there are some gorgeous ones.

I would be willing to take both the op and Aileen to a Myrtle Beach golf course. The courses are awesome and the beach is beautiful...Of course the only view you two would see is the head of the Domidong....But everyone I know says it's absoloutely breathtaking.

Hilton Head SC is a lovely area as well. My condo there was next to Mark Messier's. Lot's of golfing, beautiful area, great shopping.

I'm sure they'd make an exception and let you play at Augusta if you tell them you're related to Gloria Steinem [8|]

Well I think we have about 100 golf courses here in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
I live on one, on the 13th of Heron Point.
Plus we have 60 miles of sand beaches here and 3200 restaurants and nice weather although it's very windy today!
That's why I moved here from New Hampshire 3 years ago this Sept.
I don't need an alarm clock, I just leave the slider open and awake to the sound of the golfers swearing.
