DemureMe -> dominant nature of a sub... (4/13/2007 8:45:35 AM)

Greetings...i would like to know your thoughts on a sub exploring her dominant nature to better serve and please her Dom.

dominant & submissive = personal relationship orientation, NOT personality type.

Anyone of any personality can be dominant or submsisive.

Find a dom who wants you to take charge and make their life easier by delegating so they don't have to directly be involved with the other things.

I cannot respond simply because the questions too vague.  Do you mean to switch roles?  Sexually as in Topping?  To top with/alongside your dominant?
Look forward to a clearer question.
Peace and Rapture

He dips His lid to Demure;

Firstly, lots will have opinions based upon their own experiences, you question broadly and more detail may obtain what you look for.

Generally I believe the answer lies in your self-awareness and/or your Dom's appraisal of what may benefit you.  Often what a D requests will test your trust in them and the requests are made with purpose.  I believe (at this stage with your broad question) you should be communicating with your D (if you have one) as the matter is grounded in the dynamic that you both have- which is always differnet thananother's dynamic.

Warm regards Driver.

Wrong. Dominant/submissive are a personality types as well as roles one takes on in a relationship.

True, but an inherently meek person would find it very hard to be dominant over someone that is boisterous.

I think if the owner wants the submissive to do it then they should do it, plain and simple lol

I tend to look at Dominance and submission as practices and skills rather than natures.  So, I don't see anything inherently wrong with an s-type learning specific skills involved in dominance if that would please her other.

i agree with your statement that dominant/submissive is a personality type.  i'm a submissive however i have a dominant personality. i'm a "take charge" type of leader in projects and interviews ...very aggressive and demand perfection in every review i type for the radio station ...everything (work and personal life) is runned on a very tight schedule.

I'll start the popcorn.

To the original poster, the question is a bit vague, can you elaborate?

Greetings,

Master FukinTroll set up a hot dog cart and has samores a couple threads over....

As for the question at hand...i am a slave, i have a slaves heart, a alsoves personality (most of the time) and in no way wish to be the dominate one in this home. That being said if my Master demanded it of me  then as a slave i would have to try but since He is Master and will always be Master then that is something i do not have to worry about.
At work i do have to be more agressive in nature just because i have more experience than many there and have been given the job of over seeing some. At the same time though most all i work with know i am a slave in a poly home and most have said they do what i ask them to and do it the way i ask quicker than they would for someone else because not only will i be right there getting my hands dirty also but because i do not demand or act supior to others but instead i ask , thank, and praise those around me. For me, i am a slave, always have been (or at least for 20 some odd years), and i always will be.
respectfully,
