Can you say "pretentious pseudointellectual"?

He got me

Lol, same here.  Tack on the single for years bit to, while your at it

To be fair, though, I don't have a clue as who he may be talking about.  I've only seen one big flame thread so far, and even that was at least a fairly polite one.

As another point to consider, he didn't single out CM specifically, and was most likely referrring to other BDSM forums he been in in the past.  The fact that CM is a very civil and diverse one may have prompted the OP, as he felt that this is the one place he wouldn't get completely flamed for blowing off some steam.

untamedshysub -> RE: Bitchiness Index (4/14/2007 5:52:01 AM)

you prove the old saying correct: "negative attention is better than no attention at all".  Hope you enjoyed it, and you try and have yourself a good day.

aSlavesLife -> RE: Bitchiness Index (4/14/2007 5:58:44 AM)

The OP was short in his observation in that he overlooked the rare non overweight sub that is in a relationship, yet still spends some 16 hours a day racking up thousands of posts and flaming anyone that disagrees with their, watered down, kindler, gentler mockery of BDSM. You know the ones. They are the ones that run whining to their 2 hour every other week ' doms ' that live 4 hours away to come scold the big bullies that dare to stand up to them, Not that a retort can be mustered to said ' doms ', as the flaming harridan's pet double digit mod has already jumped on the challengers like white on rice. Did I say pet mod? Well, when the harridans in question continue to keep on flaming after the mod has sent snarky mail to the person challenging them, yes. It is quite obvious from the simple observation of some peoples continued attacks on others that at least SOME mods are NOT doing their jobs in a fair and unbiased manner.

bandit25 -> RE: Bitchiness Index (4/14/2007 6:01:39 AM)

Need some coffee?  You know, there are some nonoverweight subs in relationships that still like to post.  Not everyone is a stereotype.

smilezz -> RE: Bitchiness Index (4/14/2007 6:04:10 AM)

He got what he wanted:  Attention

Happy Saturday!

SusanofO -> RE: Bitchiness Index (4/14/2007 6:07:43 AM)

ASlave'slife, I agree. If I were a Moderator, if I had to contend w/thread topics like this, I'd be really tempted to let responses to it just slide.

I mean, unless the OP wanted the negative attention, why bother to post? And if they do want it, then is it really the Mod's job to moderate the attention they obviously solicited?

If I was a Mod, I'd probably spend my time moderating other threads w/"real" topics (where the flaming you mentioned, can and does sometimes occur, IMO), as opposed to "pseudo-topics" like this one, that have been created from basically not much, except a one-sided, over-reaction, to one person's supposedly "bad experiences"  - know what I mean?

And I do think this is a "psuedo" topic (so if the OP would consider this to be a "psuedo-intellectual" response, then maybe it is an appropriate one, IMO).

I hate it when when the Mister buys cheap-ass coffee, blech.

Would brewing the whole cannister, freezing the liquid, then de-frosting a cup every time he wants one be considered topping from the bottom?

Discuss!

I think that would be called using your head. It might even improve the flavor.

TyrEldred -> RE: Bitchiness Index (4/14/2007 8:05:12 AM)

Rant Rant Rant - Ha! Even bad publicity (In this case Attention) is still good. In this country we have freedom of speech which allows us to Rant Rant Rant to our hearts content..

For your consideration:

Assess the overall bitchiness/worthlessness of persons on kinky forums such as this.

Think about the people who do nothing but attack others, who practically live on the website. Those who hijack threads, push a "politically correct" agenda, those who try to stifle genuine debate.

Look at the profiles......notice anything?

Can you say, "has been single for YEARS"? Perhaps because some of us have actual standards that we expect those we bring into our lives to live up to?

Can you say, "grotesquely obese"? Nope not in the least, while not a waif I'm perfectly fine.

Can you say "pretentious pseudointellectual"? Pot meet kettle...thy name is black.

Okay harpy cunts, flame away, and prove me right. Funny for someone that recently ranted about people lowering themselves to name calling instead of having an intellectual discourse you sure found your own level quite quickly.

Have a peachy kind of day!

Lashra -> RE: Bitchiness Index (4/14/2007 7:05:56 PM)

Actually, I'm an official, card-carrying Heartless Bitch, thank you very much.  Single... check... fat... check... too smart for the insecure... check....  Sadly, your analogy falls flat because I'm not worthless.  Thanks for playing, however.  Here's a copy of our home game, stuffed into a box of Rice-a-Roni.

Hey, I just applied to be a Heartless Bitch!

and to the OP
I'm not single (have only been single for about 4 years out of my life since I was 16)
Not grotesquely obese
Never pretentious but always sarcastic
I stopped smoking years ago, no flames in my bag

you have a nice day now, hear?

FukinTroll -> RE: Bitchiness Index (4/14/2007 7:15:13 PM)

I am elevating you, whipthehip and a few others to hero status in my book dude! You fuk'n rock!

I was just thinking just how unnoticeable and average I would be if it wasn't for guys like you elevating me to Rock "fukin" star level! I almost feel like I should be giving you guy's money to keep me looking good!

Passion357 -> RE: Bitchiness Index (9/25/2007 3:59:12 PM)

This just seemed like the place to put this. I apologize if I dove in at the wrong time.

I haven't been on here in a LONG time, as it will (hopefully) soon state in my updated profile.

I signed on today and while I was online, hadn't been here 30 minutes LOL, I received this in mail:

"why do u seek a Master on a wannabee site Real masters dont seek slave on a silly website"

My response:

"I was never seeking a Master on this site. I sought only female slaves and friends. Never a Master.

I have been on this site a while and know several people on here through talking in the forums and
really paying attention. I know a handful real time as well.

The Collar Me I know is not a "silly website" in general. There are fakes here, as with any other
website or forum, but there are also real people who live real lives and treat people with respect
and honor.

~Love~"

I am not unhappy with the online boards here.  Fact is, i get much entertainment out of them for the most part.  There are even some forums that i like more than others.

My comment was simply a "Bitchiness Index" reply to yet another clueless soul.

Happy Saturday,

~smilezz~

I guess this is better late than never....since the thread got bumped and I read almost all of it before I realized.....

smilezz, I wasn't directing my comment to you, it was also directed to the clueless soul, but since I had done the fast reply, your name came up as the default, and someone else squeaked in before mine did, so it looked like I was replying to you!   I would have never said anything like that to you, I LIKE you! :)
