LOL, I have about 3 of those Kenmore progressive direct drive vacuums sitting in a corner here, they generally go for 250.00ish on Ebay. What I've found goes wrong with them, since we fix the more expensive vacuums(Actually my partner does the vacuums), but anyway, is the circuit board goes out, but it is only ten dollarish on sears parts website, I've not encountered one with a blown motor yet, so the motor must be quality. We just haven't gotten around to ordering replacements boards, thus still have them.

If you want a used one, I'll sell it for half price of retail. I think that is close to the secondary market price anyway. Just message if you want pics, It'll take a few days to order the circuit board. We already tested it though by taking a "known" good test circuit board and replacing it, and it works fine. That good you bought this up, reminds me to order the circuit boards!
