Does anybody know of a good source for locking buckles. I've got no problem finding stadard buckles in all shapes and sizes, but all the locking buckles i've been able to find are attached to something (ie cuffs).  My intent is to make cuffs, collars, gags, etc. that are lockable.  If anybody has used alternative means for locking these sorts of items, that would be appreciated too.

Thank-you in advance

They provide wholesale but have a minimum order requirement.

You can buy them by the item instead of having to make a large order.

you can also try leather factory/ tandy leather. They've been around for ever ( I first started with tandy over 20 years ago). It's not something that's always on the sales floor in their storefronts, but it's usually something that they keep in the back for requests! ;-)

Hope that helps! LeatherWolffe.

We make all kinds of bdsm gear, including locable buckles, but mostly for our gear we sell.

Google Griffin Leather And Metal. You can also find us on eBay at BGandAssociates.

Tandy dosent carry them and Ohio Travel bag has a min first order of 75.00 for a first timer. But they only offer small buckles. Not the 1 1/2 inch up to 4 inch ones we use.
Also be aware that there is alot of junky hardware being sold. Dont commit to a large order if you havent seen and touched the stuff.

Umm- not to berude by refuting you Dominus, but I"ve not had any problems getting them at Tandy stores in the past- though that may be speciifically the one's I've shopped at! Nonetheless, I wouldn't have claimed it if I didn't know for a fact that they were available...

Good point about checking quality of a product before commiting to large orders, though- sound advice for anyone!

Wishing you fortune on your search, LeatherWolffe.

Thanks for the respect, I offer it back.

But I will inform that Tandy dosent carry lockable buckles.
You may have run into a store manager that has ordered them on his own, given the freedom to purchase within the budget.
Just as the Tandy store in Irving Texas buys my scrap black latigo.

My friends in the corporate office have informed me that they have no deal with a manufacturer of lockable buckles, nore do they intend to do so.

I am in Dallas and have the luxury of choice picking my hides from the international Tandy wearhouse in Arlington Texas. They dont carry lockable buckles...period.

In the past Tandy (before it was merged with Leather Factory) gave license to 'Authorized Dealers'. These shops often carried more than just the Tandy line. Some of these stores have now become official Tandy shops but may have leftover merchandise from their previous life.

Perhaps this is what has happened in Kentucky.

EgoSumDominus...we do miss the Arlington location. Is Ray still there?

Very good point. That may be old stock of some kind.

I take it Ray is the manager of the arlington location?

I normaly use the irving store since its closer. And when I go to arlington I am normaly in the warehouse, and thats a seperate building in the back.
I know corporate people at that location, but not store staff.

Ok, so you know someone named Ray...so do I.

This forum is about Lockable buckles, not people named Ray.

You can start a "People named Ray" forum if you want. But this is locking buckles. Very simple.

Although I will not participate in your obsession with people named Ray.
I will wish you the best of luck on your search for people that have the name of Ray. It’s a cause that you were clearly defined to do by the powers that governs us all. A truly noble quest on your part. And I hope only you.

May a Ray of sunshine fall on you, may a Ray of hope enter your heart, may a Ray of promise stay with you, and most of all may a Ray fall on you.

LOL

Sorry LeatherWolf...snagged some of your words, but I was having to much fun.

Dude, why you feel the need to bash one of the forums and leather communities most respected members simply because she inquired about a friend in which it seemed you had a common bond is beyond me. Locking buckles have been found at Tandy here in San Mateo before. They are currently out of stock. You can also check Western-Storex here in San Francisco. They do not have a website that I'm aware of but try calling them. You can also try calling leatherpost, or Mr. S and asking if they will sell you theirs or put you in contact with their distributor and sometimes they will. They are more likely to do so, when you are a regular customer in the first place.

I offer respect to all in my life. And when I am displeased, I will be sarcastic or at least sharp in tone. But in this case it is different

But you are the kind of ass hole that lives on the net. Slowly living your life away.
Few if any friends that you can talk to. Your income is getting smaller and you worry...you worry alot. You work for a company that you have no control over. At the age of 56 its just about what i can do to pay the bills. Its stressful and sometimes your heart races, like your having a heart attack.  You are still over weight and things dont work as well as they did. The doctor tells you to change your lifestyle...but you cant
You are angry about retirement. Its just not there. How will you make it...you wont. Your love life is non exsistant...you have nothing that is meaningful..it dosent exist. When you lay in your bed all by yourself you feel the lonelyness that makes you feel sad and alone...and you are. You are alone.
Truly no one cares about you...you know that...you have always felt that. Its a feeling deep inside, and you were right.
No one cares if you live or die.

I  like to get into a few challenged conversations in time. But this is just strange.
Few with a sense of humor, and most seem angry.

Ahhh, simple minds often refer to 'simple' rules but think only others should follow those guidelines. I'm still attempting to figure out how these comments directly relate to lockable buckles.

Bootblack Blast was able to quickly decipher my intentions for bringing up Ray:

I should have realized the futileness of my attempt when you did not even acknowledge a private message I sent about another subject.

May you be pierced by a Ray of humbleness.
