I joined this site a week ago and was warmed by some really nice e mails. Yesterday I decided to update my profile to detail my needs and save alot of time-wasting for all concerned. Obviously my profile is pending.... this morning I happened on a profile of a Master and complimented him on it.....I have just logged on to find a very nasty message which basically states that as my profile is awaiting approval then How Dare I approach fellow members.

Im sorry did I miss the part on the joining process that stated I was not allowed to approach anyone? Can someone please point me to the clause in the Terms and conditions  which states that?

I really thought this was a good site in which to fulfil my quest.......Some of your members are letting you dowm.

Some people are jerks. Forget Him and move on. He's surely forgotten you.

Hehehehe, welcome to the online world... Sad, but true, there are jerks online, and some of them are even worse online because there are no real-world repurcussions to their horid behaviors... Three are nice folks around here, there are jerks around here, we all just have to take the good with the bad...

First let me say welcome to the site.

You'll find this community is no different than any other group of people in that you have your normal, decent, understanding types as well as your high and mighty, jerk types and everything in between. I'm sorry that was one of your first impressions but don't take it personally. My advice is to just ignore emails like that and move on, they're really not worth your time or effort if they can't wait a few hours for your profile to get approved.

There is no such rule, you just happened upon an idiot. If they don't want to converse with you, that's their loss.

Like everyone has said not all of us are bad but just like rl there are a sprinkling of assholes. ^_^ next time however give him a taste of his medicine -

"I am soooooo sorrry you HIGHNESS.  I didn't realize that I had offended your precious sensibilites and that my simple COMPLIMENT of your profile forced you to pull your head out of your butt to thank me with insults."

I think I've found my home! LOL! They are right, don't sweat the small stuff. Delete, block and move on.

I've gotten hate mail from men several states away. My guess is their insecurities come out when my profile states I don't want anything to do with men humiliating and hurting women in the name of BDSM... some count on that edge to do just that I'm afraid.
