morsel2please -> Prayer? (4/17/2007 2:28:14 AM)

So here I am. A slave, taken and loving it all.
HOWEVER, Master has commanded that I write a prayer to start off each day.
But you see, I have not been religious, and have little experience with that.
In my desire to be perfect for him I decided to see what others might think of my efforts.
So, here is what I have come up with so far, and suggestions, ideas, comments are all in order and desired.

Thank you, Master, for this day of slavery.

I open my mind to You this day, and all the thoughts within.
I have no secrets, I have no shame,  my humility belongs to you.
I offer my body to You this day, and all that comes from it
From shit and piss, to milk and tears, all things in me belong to you.
I give my comfort to You this day, and all the senses around it.

Hot or cold, wet or dry, my environment belongs to you.

I pray that this day be filled with opportunities to serve,
That I may I serve you well at every opportunity,
And that my service will be a source of pleasure.

I might take out the vulgarities...but, that's just me. And, is this supposed to be a prayer to him or to a religious deity? That's truly a question, not meant to be inflammatory, but you mentioned religion in your post.

MsKatHouston -> RE: Prayer? (4/17/2007 6:17:26 AM)

For me prayer is a very personal thing.  Writing a prayer and taking time to reflect can be very beneficial, relaxing and allows you to focus.  I would not worry as much about how it ounds as what it is you want to convey.  What would you pray for?  Do you want to thank, ask for guidance or look for strength?  Every day can be a different reason for praying.  It does not have to be overly poetic, just sincere.

By "vulgarities" do you mean, "shit, piss" etc? I put them in there precisely because they seem to offend many I truly want and need to give that to him, (well actually have him force that from me) as part of who and what we are and the dynamic we form.

Thank you Kat.
Since I have not done "prayer" I look upon this as a "ritual" that will to the things that you suggest. Do "YOU" think it seems to convey my need to be totally dominated? Since I am a bit of a writter I did want it to sound right and look right as well. Thanks for your comments

ownedgirlie -> RE: Prayer? (4/17/2007 8:18:16 AM)

Quite honestly, I would think only your Master would know what's in your heart, and therefore what words will truly convey your submission.  We can all toss out ideas to you but they would be OUR ideas and not from your essence.  Otherwise, what you'll have is, "Here Master, here is a prayer that a group of people I don't know put together for me to say to you."

Speak from your heart.  Let yourself come out in your words.  That's the best I can offer.

He knows what is in my heart. However, he wishes to "ritualize" it for me, to make me do it each and every day. In fact he says that I will be required to have four of these. One for awakening, one at noon, one at dinner and one prior to sleep. It is all part of taking over my being and making me ever more aware of his ownership.

Kinkypupper -> RE: Prayer? (4/17/2007 2:20:10 PM)

Your Master is privelaged indeed

Suleiman -> RE: Prayer? (4/17/2007 5:19:31 PM)

Well, first of all, I must commend you for your devotion. Were I given such a command, I would seriously consider ending the relationship. My spiritual life is one of the very few truly private things that I have, and I am very jealous of it.

Secondly, did you really mean to pray to your master as if to god? If so, was that in the spirit of his command? If so, good job. Otherwise, you might want to re-think your affirmation a bit.

TigerNINTails -> RE: Prayer? (4/17/2007 7:06:45 PM)

I have to agree with Suleiman in that sense. If it was put in the structure of daily affirmations to my service (I am a switch, though not often) and if I was actually collared to a Mistress, then of course, this would be easier.

But my "prayers" are reserved for Odhinn, Thor, Freya, Baldur and Loki... Among others... Even for Yaweh, though I'm not Jewish, nor Christian, though I was raised Baptist protestant. Now of course, this might all seem as a bit of a contradiction to some, but for me, not really. I consider my spirituality to be something more in tune with universal truths, rather than due or owing homage to a "being" in the strictest sense of the word.

Prayers are meant to come from the soul and the heart. Affirmations, especially in service to another, should come from the same place. Ritualizing your service to him is something that I believe to be essential.

But I would personally hesitate to mix it with religion, unless he is becoming yours. So far as how you say something in regards to that, if it, for YOU sums up your submission, and to HIM comes across as accurate to what he sees in you, then by all means.

But I would be remiss in telling you that it's a good idea to "get ideas" from others. However, I will say, I believe you are on the right track.

For me, most prayer comes from the heart, in the spur of the moment. The ritual would be in my physical and mental demeanor as I performed the ritual. Not in the words actually spoken. Every moment is as chaotically different from the next, as Dominance and submission is just as diametrically opposed. The prayer in and of itself should really reflect this.

The exercise being that you don't recite from wrote, but you instead raise to the surface from your depths in the moment, at the moment.

This is how I'd see such a ritualization, and I hope it makes sense. It makes sense to me... LOL...[:D]

But much of what you're doing is the same reason I have specific rituals for greeting, meeting and so forth that my slaves must adhere to. Protocols serve as much a purpose for this as what your Master is expecting of you.

I applaud your devotion as well. It truly is something that lights my heart when I see it in others, aside from my own. Dedicated servitude... Isn't it awesome?![8D]

Okay, I've rambled on enough here...

Peace girl, and the best of life to you and your Master.

Tora

Indeed the last two men have sort of gotten the escence of what I was asking about. It would seem that there are few here (or perhaps they just don't care to help a slave?) who understand what I seek. But I will persevere and continue to check back from time to time.

My prayer does come from my heart, I just wondered if I was missing anything or if the form, etc., might be improved upon. I tend to be a perfectionist and so look for advice.

Did you go to a Catholic School by chance ??

Try this: Prayer of the Day

You can adjust the wording as necessary. YMMV.

MissSCD -> RE: Prayer? (4/17/2007 8:31:30 PM)

Spiritual submission can be a wonderful thing for some slaves.   This is when you give your mind, body, and soul to your Master and your Master only thus exhibiting traits similiar to Christian prayer.
I am a Pentecostal Christian, and have seen this done in the life by those who are seeking a spiritual side of this lifestyle.   It is your choice, and his decision.
I respect it.   I think it was beautifully done.

Regards, MissSCD

PropertySeeker -> RE: Prayer? (4/17/2007 8:33:50 PM)

my Lord,
Into Your hands I relinquish all that is me, all that I hunger for, all that I need.  I relinquish all that I love and all that I hate.  I seek Your will, and Your will alone in all that I am and do.

I pray that You would find pleasure, value and use in this property You have chosen to own as Your own.  I pray that nothing in me will ever impede or distract from Your pleasure, value and use.

In utter gratitude I thank You for my life, for my breath, for the purpose of being.  Outside of You I am nothing, I am less than nothing, I am without identity.  You are my All-in-All.  Thank You for this forum to honor and focus on You.  Thank You for allowing me four opportunities each and every day to come before You and worship You for You are truly worthy.

I adore You my Lord.

in gratitude I pray....

Evidently it is good not to give up. Finally some folks who seem to get what I was looking for. Thanks to you venuscoffee, and to PropertySeeker.. who it seems is just about what I am too. and I can't forget MissSCD for all of you have given me some cud to chew on and now I can go back and see what I can add, modify, etc.

BTW, I find it interesting that so many seem to understand EXACTLY where I a coming from. Thanks again

It is not that I didn't care to help a slave, nor that I misunderstood what you sought.  It is simply my personal belief that such prayers and affirmations are extremely intimate and personal between Master and slave.  It is that I can not relate to posting my words to him on a public message board and asking others for advice on what or how I might worship him.  I am not knocking your right or desire to do so; I simply can not offer you anything because of my personal views on it.  Posting my worshippings to him to a group for feedback would cheapen it for me.

For clarification sake, I did not suggest your prayer did not come from the heart.  I suggested that since he knows your heart, only you and he could know what words would reflect what is in it.  You posted your prayer and asked us to comment on it, which is what I did.

Stranger1 -> RE: Prayer? (4/18/2007 9:52:58 AM)

Any prayer is a focus for an adoration.

When we pray for others, or for a connection-these are the purest, and most valued.

I see nothing vulgar in your prayer-it is all about feeling accepted  and apperciated.

To b able to see beyond oneself is a good thing-it is how connections flourish-well done.[;)]
