UntamedStar -> What exactly is the definition of a 'troll'?? (4/17/2007 7:15:13 AM)

Am i right in thinking that a troll is someone who trolls the net for easy targets and has a queue of them on his hit list. Playing more than a few at a time? Or is it just someone who isnt who he says he is? or something completely different?? (not one of my brightest moments..) Shit..just had awful thought... Am I a troll because i havent met anyone off here yet??? eeek![:o]

I tend to think of a troll as someone who sends out email after email to available people.  When someone responds in a positive fashion, he/she begins to "work" them.  If several respond, he/she begins to "work" them.  If the responses continue to be positive, he/she then looks to meet them but only if the chances for sexual/BDSM success are high.  He may or may not even be all that compatible with them but they are available.

In one way, trolling is what was thought of in the pre-net days as "hitting" on someone you did not even know.  Sort of like the guy in the nightclub who finds all the girls good-looking and so goes from one to another asking them to dance until one says yes.  And even after she has said yes, he may go to another and ask.  Try to increase his chances of "getting" lucky.

Having a list of contacts can be looked at in several ways:  there may indeed be several that interest you.  There is nothing that says that you cannot get to know more than one person at a time.  Be honest, from the submissive side or even the female side...do you think it would be fair for a dominant or a male to ask you to stop corresponding with others the minute you have exchanged a couple of "get to know you" notes with them?  It all depends on the level of involvement.  If things are becoming more intimate, then it is up to the two people to decide together whether or not they continue to get to know other people intimately or not.

With exception to fuckingtroll in here most trolls are bottom dwelling low life scum that clings on the bottom film of the community.
Basically a really sick person or a preditor IMO.

I see what youre saying but i would find it difficult to email other men while i am focussed on one. I just think that i would get confused and forget what i was learning about that person lol... It does feel bad when you realise you are not the only one he/she is mailing.[8|]

Arpig -> RE: What exactly is the definition of a 'troll'?? (4/17/2007 8:45:46 AM)

As you can see from the variety of responses, there is no generally agreed upon definition. Therefore a troll is somebody who engages in whatever disaproved of activity you see fit to apply the label to

realbarrow -> RE: What exactly is the definition of a 'troll'?? (4/17/2007 9:00:07 AM)

Definitely one of those where one defines a term by using it. But, of course, people like to keep their private definitions relatively in sync. I could name my cute new puppy dog "Troll," but then what would I call everyone else?

BOUNTYHUNTER -> RE: What exactly is the definition of a 'troll'?? (4/17/2007 9:05:09 AM)

Those cute little lawn ornaments that sits in my baby's front lawn smiles..I agree a troll is looking for an east target,a quick roll in the hay as always just this ol" master views....

FukinTroll -> RE: What exactly is the definition of a 'troll'?? (4/17/2007 2:21:48 PM)

The wonderful thing about being FukinTroll
Is FukinTroll is a wonderful thing
Is tongue is all slurpy
and makes the girls scream

His one eye is big and slimy
And spots the subbies and slaves

He slurps them left
He slurps them right
He always slurps them
In the spot that is just right

So the wonderful thing about being FukinTroll
Is that I am the only oneI’m the only one!

Remind me to abduct Stephen Colbert and tell him he can only go under the condition he gives you a segment on his show.  Or rights to randomly run up and slurp him and/or others during the show.

If the first post you make when entering a chat room is "anyone from (insert home state here)"...you might be a troll...

If the first post you make when you enter a chatroom is "a/s/l"...you might be a troll....

If you enter a chat room and instead of posting a greeting you post "anyone wanna cyber?"...you might be a troll....

If you enter a chatroom by describing your genitalia...you might b a troll

I think you get the idea...lol...

minnetar -> RE: What exactly is the definition of a 'troll'?? (4/17/2007 8:49:46 PM)

my opinion is that trolls are viewed as someone on the net looking for easy sex similar to a HNG.

minnetar

BrutalDemon -> RE: What exactly is the definition of a 'troll'?? (4/17/2007 9:42:07 PM)

My impression of HNGs is that they can't tell the difference between reality and cyber-fantasy... as soon as virtual sex becomes realistic enough, they should die out in the space of a generation. It's only when it gets cheap enough for mass consumption that we have to start worrying as a species.

Trolls, to me, have always been associated with picking fights, spouting rubbish, and just trawling cyber-space looking for attention and notoriety, rather than just looking for sex on the 'net.

There's probably a fair overlap between these two particular sub-species... they're both from the shallower and of the gene pool, after all :o)

Oh, and now I have to shoot the OP... she knows of 'the cunning plan' ;o)
