Fundamentally, I'm poly, and only do sexual relationships with others who are also poly. My view of poly is that it is (nearly) the anti-thesis of chastity. No, that's not quite right. It is better to say that chastity does not leave room for being poly. Hmmm... still not quite right. What I really mean is that I value my submissive's sexual nature, and encourage them to express it, so long as it is done safely, and with my prior knowledge. Chastity is controlling the expression of someone's sexual nature, inhibiting it.
I can't comment on how common or rare it is, but I'm one who doesn't do Chastity. Not that I think it is wrong or anything like that, it is just not my approach.
