I have a page on all of those. Funny thing is I found this site last and it is by far the best!
You're preaching to the choir with me!

MySpace I have a page specifically for this and have never met anyone from it.
MySpace isn't really a hook up place. I suppose you could use it that way, but most of the people there aren't seeking partners. It does happen, however. One of my good friends met his lady love via a shared esoteric band on myspace. They're now planning their wedding.

MyDommeSpace is new and boring. Not much activity and certainly not a way to meet anyone. MyDungeonSpace - same thing - and the exact same layout - I think they are the same company.
When I first found CollarMe, there were all of 83 Dominant Women listed in California. After some great word of mouth advertising it took off and filled a much needed niche. (A year later there were over 450.) Unfortunately, since that niche is now filled, unless those sites have a great PR person or offer something new, flashy and very cool, they're not likely to do overly well. However, sometimes it just takes time.

I don't think they are the same company, but rather that they've used the same tutorial or free code. I've seen the exact site layout with a few alterations on three BDSM dating sites. I know at least one of them is not associated with the sites we're discussing.

alt.com is wide open and no one real.

You are mistaken about this. I am one of the people seeking a submissive on alt, and I promise I am quite real. I'd offer to let you pinch me, but I'm not into cyberplay...*grins*

I know it is frustrating because a lot of the "subs" who contact you are looking to fill their own fantasy. But it is that way on EVERY site. I have gotten some good subs from each of the personals sites and I've dealt with hundreds of wanna bes, time wasters, idjits living in their folks basements, cheating married men and flat out liars. I'm sorry to say it comes with searching.

The thing I like best about alt are the chat rooms that are by state or area. (Free members are able to chat.) The Southern California one is full of people in the local scene. I don't know that is true of other areas.

Although I haven't had any good experiences meeting anyone here (yet!) - and a lot of annoyances on top of that - it still is the best format, the boards are the most informative, and it's just straightforward.

I will agree with you. CollarMe is the best lifestyle site out there. I will also say that because it is free, I encounter a lot more males who are not quite ready to head to real time as with pay sites.

ROFLMAO. Cute disclaimer

(I'll save my rant and frustration for another post... )
It is so frustrating to find a partner, no matter where you are looking! You keep hearing how many subs there are out there, and yet.. you can't seem to find one! You may have better luck at a local munch or event. I tried to view your profile to give you some local links, but you have it turned off. You'll have to do your own research. Start with http://www.drkdesyre.com/meetppl/orgs/orgs.html Good hunting!

Thank you for all that!!! I shut off my profile because I couldn't keep up with the email- and most of it was garbage. I appreciate the link but I'm one that isn't very into the "community".

I forgot about craigslist underlimited - I have found many there as well - some that are on here too come to find out. I've had better luck there actually but just in terms of follow through, not quality. And I agree with the others - if you were anywhere near me, damn, the dirty things I'd be doing to you right now. Isn't it just stupid that we're all looking for the same thing and so frustrated??? (ok well I am but congrats to those of you that have been successful!)

It's interesting how the everyone I know started creating myspace profile. I'm sure we all know (and perhaps even have) people who have myspace. It's totaly a cool idea.
Anyhow,
someone came up with the idea of myspace for Dommes. It's called (www.mydommespace.com). This is exactly what I thought would be a crazy idea. Anyhow, it's just growing now, but it's pretty cool... it has some pretty good features you can't find here. The only downturn is that it's kinda slow...
Anyhow, I'm NOT trying to promote it, but I was curious to see what you think about this new 'expansion' of lifestyle? Is it more mockery of what the lifestyle is supposed to be all about, or is it a better way (and easier way) for people to access and express themselves?
Would you encourage creation of such websites, or keeping it more bound to underground or exclusive community?

Fab concept, I have joined [:D] Thanx
