NEW YORK (AP) - Joey Crawford is done ejecting players and coaches this season. On Tuesday, he was the one getting tossed.
The veteran NBA referee was suspended indefinitely by commissioner David Stern for his conduct toward Tim Duncan, who contends the official challenged him to a fight during a game in Dallas.

i am not sure he deserved the length of suspension he had received. Sounds like some anger issues though.

a player went off on a spectator and got less then that...so is this fair? no, in my opinion it is not but then the ref isnt as "famous" as the player.

We used to live in San Antonio, and are big Spurs fans.

I'm not big on blaming refs. but for whatever reason, this guy has an agenda against the Spurs. Whenever he is the ref., Duncan gets in instant foul trouble. Duncan has been ejected only three times in his career, all three times by Joey Crawford. Last year, in the seven game series loss to the Mavericks, he gave Dirk eighteen free throws in the last six minutes of the game he officiated (game five, I think), on nine fouls, eight of which were called by him.

Joey Crawford thinks we are tuning in to watch him. I've seen him officiate for other teams, and he just calls too many fouls and tries to control too many games. I'm glad he is gone for the year, and I hope he is gone for good.
