Yep, you read that one right. As a former resident of one, I had a great laugh reading that those two countries will be hosting Euro 2012. ALL the stadiums still have to built, and with corruption as it is, this should be interesting. And then there is the small problem of a lack of hotels and...ummm...roads. I can just see the tragic accidents awaiting to happen on a ONE lane two way road that has five foot ditches right off it's sides, not to mention the Ukraine mafia "toll" charges. Eh, perhaps I am being too harsh, it should be a good laugh at least. I just hope my boys in Germany can finally win it this time!

It's certainly a big gamble but hey, it's different and Platini did say he wanted to break the monopoly of the big boys but I'm not sure this is what he meant. It's a reason to visit, I haven't been to either for years and er...years. Maybe the beer has improved.
