It is not uncommon for both Master and I to experience a drop in blood sugar after a scene, so we keep glucose tabs in our aftercare bag.  During a normal day, we both eat regularly enough to not have problems usually.

I'm borderline hypoglycemic.

I don't tend to have very many drops anymore since I started balancing my sugars with protein and fats.

If you take some fruit into the bedroom/dungeon/scene area, take some cheese as well. If you just have a little fruit, your sugar will go up and you will feel better, but it will burn off more quickly than it would if you had some protein and fat in with it.

Try this with large meals as well:
Balancing means, for instance, if you 30 grams of sugars, have about 12 to 15 grams of protein and 2 to 4 grams of unsaturated fats... the same 'formula' can be applied to snacks... on a smaller scale, of course.

There's been a few times when it just hasnt been convenient to eat, or not possible at all, when Jinx and I are together, and we've definately paid for it a few times.

I dont get snappy, I just start winding down like a clock and lose conciousness. Sometimes it happens while Im sleeping, and He thinks Im tired but really my bloodsugar is so low I have trouble waking up.

At those times I take what I can get...but a combination of carbs/sweet and protein usually work the best.

the main goal for a hypoglycemic or diabetic is to keep the blood sugar levels on a consistant level .   spikes up and drops down are dangerous and simply dont feel good.  as a type II diabetic, i ALWAYS inform any play partners about my diabetes and signs they must watch for, and then what to do if they see a 'sign'.  i keep juice and an easy to eat snack nearby when scening, and let my play partner know if i start to feel light headed.   a quick sip of juice isnt that big of an interuption during play.  a trip to the hospital is.

I'm hypoglycemic. Low blood sugar results in headcahes and 'Mr Hyde' reactions. Since going lowcarb (well, more like moderate carb but I do try to keep an eye on limiting my carb intake) those symptoms have gone away entirely.

Feeding myself quick sugar fixes, which most people here recommend, puts me into a vyvle of repeated crashes which is very unpleasant, while limiting my carbs allows me to keep my metabolism stable.

The juice and sugar are good for a "quick fix", but it's important to then eat something like a sandwich to keep the levels "up", otherwise you will soon crash out again.
