Who else thinks lowes or home depot is a bdsm candyland? and what does your imagination come up with when you are there?

They're good but i prefer Central Tractor (lots of horse and other animal care stuff). Got a new crop, lots of pretty rope, a nice curry brush, and a bunch of Vet Wrap (also in pretty colors) there just last weekend!!!

Where you go depends on your particular needs and what you are into at the time.  Have found the large paint stirrers do very good as spanking sticks.  I think any hardware store would be great if your mind was in the right area for it.  Suspension equipment, wood to make your own cross or spanking bench, can keep going and going but will leave room for more responses.

They come in small/medium/large and you can't beat the price! Found in the tool section by the toolbags.

At the moment I am ticked off at Lowes, but I do love Domme Depot aka Home Depot!  I can go in there for a simple item and end up spending an hour or more there, imagining the possibilities.

Well, it's been a while since I've visited one, but, candles are an obvious one.  Some of teh (non-candle) items can become insertables, with a little care and imagination.  The smaller stuffed animals are perfect for gifting to a sub, in return for an especially delightful scene.  Just swing by the local Radio Hut, on the way home, for some of those delightful little alligator clips with the screw-stops, and a quick jaunt to Wally-Mart for some glittery twine to attach the cute little stuffed beasties to the alligator clips and VOILA!!!  Some nice, danglie, soft and cuddly NIPPLE-CLAMPS for subbie.

We must open our MINDS as well as our eyes, if we are to truely "see" what is plainly in front of us, oughtn't we?

Tell ya what, I'll swing by the Hallmark store (or, if you like, tell me a store you'd think I couldn't POSSIBLY find any kink in, and I'll visit) and see what fresh ideas I can come up with, to share with you all.  BTW, I reserve the right to "accessorize"(sp) at will from any other stores I come across between the Hallmark store (or, whereever) and home, OK?

I was in Lowes just the other day because I needed something for school .   I was like man I wish I had time to looking around and get ideas. I also make a lot of my own toys and I've bought game paddles and things like that at thrift stores to alter and make them into new toys.

The absolute BEST place to shop of obscure items to re-task for scene play are antique malls, IMO.

I do enjoy Domme Depot but I tell you I have founds some marvelous items at the little dollar stores in the neighborhoods.  Excellent things for bondage and clamps etc.  If you have imagination you can find something kinky anywhere you go.

Amen to that.  I find it some great fun to look at common items and see their pervetable potential.   Just have to remember about fondling said items with that look in my eyes when I'm in the store lol.

I like the hardware store, yes. I also enjoy the tack & shop stores, feed stores, wal-mart, and just about any place.

Valentine's this year Hallmark actually had heart shaped padlocks. I asked if I could open the package to make sure it was a functional lock and got a yes. When it turned out that the locks DO function and they key is functional, I bought two. YAY! And then of course they have those lovely card/photo holders - with the alligator clamps (though I would dip the tips in tool dip, because I don't want it used on me bare metal).

M and I went to Home Depot and saw reflectors on fiberglass sticks - for lining a driveway, I imagine. We made them into fiberglass canes. (be careful of fiberglass splinters) I used a plastic mesh paint stirrer and combined it with the handle from a paint scraper to make a paddle.

Not all toys are successful, but it's lots of fun to let the imagination run wild.
