ORIGINAL: littlesarbonn One of my favorite incidents was with a woman who was constantly preaching about how she can't stand how men are so petty in their visual standards (she had a few pounds on her and received comments from guys every now and then because her pictures seemed to be lacking in this visual representation). To be honest, she would go on and on about how men shouldn't really be all so tied up in looks but if they gave her half a chance, they'd realize that beauty comes solely from within. At one point, we were talking about possibly pursuing a mutual relationship, and then she decided it wouldn't work because "I really prefer men who are at least six feet tall." She still goes on and on about men and their unfair visual standards concerning women. I just had to comment that when I had an ad on match.com about a year ago, i received a decent amount of responses. then when i changed my picture in my profile, showing an updated look (different hairstyle), i started getting about 75% more responses. The written part of my profile never changed, so it was interesting to me how something as simple as a different hair cut could make you appear more interesting. Also, maybe women don't consider height to be tied to looks. I'd say it is one factor in it. Hairstyle can make a HUGE difference, and it really ties all back into whether or not you care about your appearance, and I think that ties into self image. If there's one thing I think a lot of sub men could benefit from, that's a "makeover." Many I think look in the mirror and just accept that they are subpar, not "cute," not attractive, but very few really work on their "look." I think submissive men who are not properly groomed (hygeine as well as having a "look") are always going to get passed over. Is that shallow? Maybe. But how hard is it to go to a salon (or ask a female friend who is a hair dresser) and pay some dollars and say "Can you give me a look that compliments my features and is relatively current?" I challenge sub men who have not done that to give it a try, and see how women look at them differently. Oh, and post a new picture after you do. Editted to add: "Supercuts" or some other "instant hair cut" shop does not qualify; go to a reputable spa with talented hairstylists! Akasha Jesus, how vapid. Who in the fuck cares about whether or not their hairstyle is 'current'?
