A domme who is looking for a sub replied to my introduction but wants a 'small contribution' to her paypal in order to screen out pretenders from the beginning. Is this a scam or normal or what? Anyone can help?

For some it's a scam, for some it's normal.

You have to decide whether the potential risk is worth the potential "payback."

please don't fall for that b/s...there are plenty of good Dom/mes, there are even gret Pro Dom/mes if thats what you are searching for, but you should never feel you have to send money to someone so that they can give you the time of day....of course that's just my opinion.

I'd write and ask her if the amount is refunded in the event that she decides not to accept you as her submissive.

I'd say there is a 95% chance it is a scam and a 5% chance it is real. Just FYI, there was some guy on yahoo in the chat rooms bragging about how much money he'd made off of idiot men by pulling this scam. While it is true that Dominant Women get frustrated by subs, the non Pro ones usually have other ways of screening out the wankers.

Thank Y/you all :) I've decided that even if it wasn't a scam, it would reinforce this behavior and motivate people to try it as a scam. Her profile was very attractive though so oh well.

I do not ask for an "application fee". Email is free and perfectly acceptable. If I get to a point where things are looking good, the boy calls Me (long distance). If he's local, then there is still no cost involved, until he takes Me to lunch or dinner. If I arrange a trial visit, the boy pays his own way. That is enough expense.
I am not a personal believer that a fee payment is proof you are not a pretender. I will figure it out quickly enough!
