The statement above is a very true one. Three and I have been friends for a while now. She always has wanted to keep her personal life off of the board. Figured she could not effectively do her job here if her personal live was spewn all over.
I remember back when she got married. I had asked her why she didn't tell the board. She quoted the above sentiments to me.
It definately has been rough. I'm sure it has taken her down several pegs emotionally to have to ask for help here.
She is not someone who is wanting attention. If she is asking that means she has hit rock bottom. So, I'm helping.
What I suggest is the paypal if you have cash to spare. The money you have sent her so far she put on her car. So at least now it will start.
Thank you everyone for sending cash. I'm sure more would help if anyone can spare it.
The gift card idea is also a good thing.
I'd also suggest ebay. That is what came to my mind at first. I decided on a dollar amount I was going to spend. Then tried to decide how I could get the most of the money.
You can win the auction on ebay and tell them to send it to another address. That way they are doing all of the packaging for you. The mailing. You can always e-mail Three and let her know whatever is on it's way.
I have to admit though, ebay was my first idea but my mind wasn't coherant enough to know exactly what I wanted to send her. So I went to smartbargains.com. Reason being...I found that site recently and bought 800 thread count sheets for our bed for 50 a pair. NO WHERE did I find them that cheap anywhere else.
So, I purchased three some towels. A throw(blanket) and a kitchen utensil set. I also have a few items around my house I am going to send to her.
Nobody needs to do nearly as much as I am. Even a prayer would help if you cannot give anything.
If you decide on money.
My grand total for what I bought and shipping was 49.00 so if you look around you can find good deals. Make your money stretch. I suggest target.com and type in search in the field. Walmart.com.
Great deals. Try to put yourself in her place. When starting over from nothing...all of the small things you will miss.
Pots, pans, a pitcher for juice. Can opener. That is sort of a necessity in any kitchen.
Toilet paper. Soap, shampoo. Glasses and cups. Towels, blankets and sheets. Silverware. As Angel already stated I'm sure a lot of us could do some spring cleaning and end up with piles to give. Then it is just packaging it and shipping it.
