I've seen it in internet pictures, but I can't see how it could work. It certainly wouldn't be practical for long periods.

I have never been ridden but experienced as a voyeur on a pony session. However the girls(and the one male sub) were not ridden on all fours, but pulling a small gig, the girls were in pairs, as they were both quite slight built.

I do know that attention must be paid to the weight and build of all people involved. Back, stomach and neck injuries can occur if not done properly, as well as the usual feet and leg.

I haven't seen or heard of four legged riding. I am not really sure how practical that could be, but I would not say it is impossible... just depending on who is riding.

I've never seen a female pony being ridden on all-fours. I have reins. I'm a ponygirl. I've usually done training indoors but this summer i'm making my debut at a ponyfarm in Exeter(UK). I promise to write an indepth report on my findings.

for an extended period of time? not very likely to happen.

no offense to guys, but most of you dont have the softest asses, and I cant imagine having someones ass bones digging into my back for more than a few minutes.

the other problem, is that most of the guys i've dated have weighed nearly twice as much as me. I'd get smooshed.

so for me? not likely to ever happen

I have seen pictures of a Mistress riding a male sub like that, but she was slight and looked like he spent 4 hours a day in a gym.

I think that is the biggest issue.

For those wndering about the back being hurt with four legged riding It is generally taught that four legged riding is done with the saddle or sitting area being set over the hips not the waist. It doesn't look as horse like but it places the rider's weight where it is much safer for the pony.

Most of the good pics you see will reflect this if you look for it.
