Hello. I have been paying attention to the forums for awhile now without participating myself and have decided to take the leap and introduce myself. I am reluctant to call myself a Dom although I feel the need to be sexually dominant and I am highly satisfied by the D/s sexual relations I have had. However, I find that in general I am much more feminine than many men in general and most Doms as they portray themselves. As such I have sat back and read with great interest many of the posts in these forums, trying to better understand myself and my own needs by trying to understand how other Doms view themselves and their relationships. As it turns out, however, it is the submissives in these forums that have offered me the greatest insight into this lifestyle and into my need to dominate.
BDSM has in one form or another been with me for almost 20 years [mostly only in my fantasies], but it was only the recent ending of my marriage that led me to finally accept that this is who I am - that in order to feel complete in any future relationships D/s would have to figure into that relationship. That said, it may become clear that I am something of a newbie to actually living the lifestyle as for years instead of embracing it I allowed social construct to get in the way of my own happiness.
I look forward to continuing my growth in this lifestyle and I hope to have something to offer the community in general. Thanks to all for sharing.
