This place really jams up on a Sunday.  Can't get to my mailbox -the servers are, you guessed it, "tied up".

Did everyone have fun/wang chung last night?

There are a couple of threads in Off Topics regarding issues with CM today.

I laughed at the Wang Chung comment.  Reminded me of Frasier on Cheers, coming into the bar and commenting on the most profound song lyrics he has ever heard:  "Everybody have fun tonight.  Everybody wang chung tonight."  The way he said it was hilarious :)

I'm so glad you agree.  I can't ever think of Wang Chung, without seeing him in the doorway at Cheers, totaly clueless but having fun!

Nice to know some cultural references are not entirely out of date, yet...

The place I teach at is training new instructors, and for some reason they seem to think my opinions and experience is relevant to pass on.

So I spent most of the day teaching men how to take full power knee kicks to the groin and head without getting hurt, as well as how to keep "on" during the class with all the adrenalin and stuff.

There is also an aspect to women's psychology where they tend to defer to the men in the room.  So male instructors need to be on their toes to not make definitive statements or act like know-it-alls when they are teaching.

After 6 hours of doing that in my protective armor suit, I was pretty wiped out last night and fell asleep at 8 or so.

Ha, thanks for the laugh!  I found the quote, said of course in the dorkiest of Frasier Crane ways:

"I was listening to a rock 'n' roll station on my way over here, you know to put me in the mood. There was a passage in one of those trifle songs, that I feel, well, is the keynote of this evening: "Everybody have fun tonight. Everybody Wang Chung tonight."

... I think that counts as a "Wang Chung", sure enough...
