Omnesub -> Strange question (male sub fashion) (4/28/2005 6:57:21 PM)

I apologize that this isn’t a very deep or involved question… I am simply wondering what kind of fashion male subs use (when going to the dungeons? Or parties with BDSM theme dress?). From what I have seen…most male sub fashion is either the leather biker type (perhaps that’s more Dom though) or its some kind of gladiator theme (harness, or straps…).

What other “options” are open for this kind of thing? Is there anything similar to a sleeker look (like females have with full body dresses or corsets, but these wouldn’t work for male). Maybe even something that could be worn in public without it being an obvious “bdsm’er” sign (to normal bars and things like that, more form fitting then normal clothing …but tasteful ((haha, I guess it depends who you are talking to?)))

Its very hard to put this into words… I don’t mean to say any of the fashion I have seen is bad. I am only wondering what other kinds of things there are out there and what male subs wear?

I know this isn't really what you asked for but I found a thread on Dom Fetish Wear here:

Dom Fetish Wear

I know it's not exact, but there are some good general tips in there.

Thank you for the link! I didnt see that thread before...it seems others have had the same difficulty.

It's an older thread, I just remembered reading it and thought that it might be helpful. I know a few people jumped in and gave good ideas.

I like my boys to take me to dinner in a classy italian suit.

I like my boys to take me to bed naked.

How's that?

It really depends I guess. Black tends to work in any given 'dungeon' situation for the most part. I happen to like the 'gladiator' harness/leather thong/g-string look myself, but I know that some men, especially very heterosexual men, have a non-straight identification with this mode of fashion. Honey, trust me, it's a very hot look on a straight guy ~grin~

I think it looks hot on almost any man, gay, straight, or whatever.
I think that all black generally works. I like black dress pants, black dress shirt (a tie is optional)

My experience at public dungeons is limited, but at the munch I attend there was a male submissive who dressed very nicely when he was going to go to the club after the munch. He chose to dress very GQ actually, nice slacks and shirt, even a sport coat or blazer on occasion. I'm not sure how he was received at the club, but he received a lot of whistles and compliments from the women at the munch! (Many who also went to the club afterward.) In my area, we had several clubs (at that time, one has closed) and the typical dress was more casual at one than the other.

If there is a public club/dungeon you are planning to attend, I would suggest calling them or email them if they have a web site, and ask them for some suggestions on what to wear, or at least what is typical attire there. If you are going to a play party, ask the hosts. I don't think anyone would be surprised by that question.

Be well and play safe,
harmony

Black suit, black shirt, black tie or white tie, very very hot, or jeans and a black shirt and tie-- whew who turned up the heat?

Ok, so I may be odd, but I love the idea of seeing a male sub in those "I dream of jeanie" pants. I have no idea what they are called... but to me, that would be very sexy!

Same thing any man would wear to a social occasion.

The Boston partner has the CUTEST pair of leather booty shorts he wears.

i wear suits, shirts and ties and enjoy them, it is a fetish. :)

LaTigresse -> RE: Strange question (male sub fashion) (3/25/2009 8:34:09 AM)

I am not into a male sub, don't want one.

But.......after watching the latest Bond movie, that man, in a suit, could change my mind. I will pretend to be M for that.

The whole costumey thing, leather thong gladiator.......oh good god no. Especially if the guy isn't built like the gladiator!!![:'(]

rubberpet -> RE: Strange question (male sub fashion) (3/29/2009 5:31:52 AM)

I've done the biker look before at parties, but Mistress perfers me locked in full latex from the neck down.  In fact, she calls me her own personal "shiny rubber froggy Navy guy" because she thinks I look like a Navy SEAL in a wetsuit.

I've gotten the best reactions from both Dommes and submissive women when I do the full latex thing.  It's not the typical or normal thing for a submissive man to wear at our local BDSM functions, so they find it interesting and have to come up to me to see what it feels like.

I have several options I use on occasion. My favorite is long line leather corset with leather shorts, fence net stockings and boots, then I have red lamb leather pants and long-sleeved T-shirt like top made of black lambskin, white latex bodysuit with olive color latex jeans.
This was just to name a few,  the possibilities are endless. Also, I need to add, my brain has no operational shame function. The outfits, of course, must be appropriate for your body type.

aravain -> RE: Strange question (male sub fashion) (3/30/2009 1:27:18 AM)

~FR~

Why not a tux or suit with a collar and short (like, two feet max) and unobtrusive leash instead of a tie (of the bow or normal variety)?

I'm also really into nerdy looks... so I'd likely push you further that way if I was offering up in person >.>

But there's also over-the-top type stuff. Cape, costume, the works.

An expressionless mask (or even just an outfit-matching domino) with non-descript same-color and simple clothing would do well, too... though you'd have to count on your sparkling personality to get people to notice you, if that's what you'd wanted. :) Plus, pull off the mask and *BOOM* good to go on the outside :D

There's something so very, *very* sexy about a man wearing a mask... plus, it pulls out the 'sadist' in me when I see someone who I think is relatively emotionless or non-descript...

The exact opposite happens for nerdy boys...

hmmm

*goes off to contemplate things*
