i saw a study once that came up with 5.7 inches as the average which seems to match up well with the often quoted number of 5 to 6 listed above.

5 inches is in the average range, yes. I'm not going to pull out a ruler or anything, though. Circumference is generally more relevant to how stimulating it is during penetration, although this may not be relevant to you. Longer ones tend to hurt more.

For many men, it seems like the length of their penis is somehow integral to their view of themselves as a man. A quantitative measure of "manhood", as it were. I don't get where this is coming from, though. If more men were concerned with how they use it than what length it is, more women would be happy about their men, I think.

I must admit, I fall comfortably within the "average" range for penis size. Posters commenting on Women being of various sizes is true also-I've found it generally is in relation to Her height.
