The WTO is planning on unifying the world's nutritional guidelines, toxicity guidelines for pollutants, and vitamin and herbal supplement guidelines. This google video is a lady who has quit her practice to try to stop this from happening. She is speaking to a group of nutritionalists about the research of what this unifying will mean for what we can buy and not buy under this trade agreement, and if our country is not compliant with what is called "codex" the WTO could impose huge fines.

There are several things being done to stop this from being implemented by 2009, and I am pretty confident that the American people are going to stand for their right to acquire real organic food, herbs and supplements, but it is something to be aware of.

Kinda goes with all the "banning" threads going on right now too[:D]. For those who worry about our national sovereignty, this is really shows how right you are.

OMG!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you julia for posting this.  This directly impacts me, my work and everyone I know.  I am onboard for doing whatever it takes to counteract this conspiracy to poison us all with our food and deny us access to healthy choices and nutrients.

I am glad you got something out of this, it is not the first attempt to make all vitamins by prescription only or illegal.

I know that....but this is even worse.  If this codex is adopted you won't be able to obtain the vitamins or nutrients even with a prescription.   Plus the idea of all food must be laced with chemicals, etc.  is just nausating.  I admit I don't routinely eat organic meats because they are not as readily available but I do try to purchase organic fruits and vegs.  I will be letting my friends know about this also.

I agree with your sentiments, and hopefully people will read and listen to the video. The idea that we will not be able to take even vitamin C is just ludicrous.
