It's gone both ways here (or all three, if you want to count asking permission as a third option LOL). We've had one or two ask permission, a couple of them initiated without asking, and the rest I've initiated. For me, all of the above are perfectly acceptable.

Usually, I get kissed first. I've never really given it much thought, but it tends to be more of a feeling that I'm more comfortable moving at her speed rather than at mine. It can sometimes change during the relationship, depending upon how the rest of the dynamics play themselves out.

With a Domme (it was rebuffed) and with Vanilla (it wasn't). Here's a question; I was on a date recently, beautiful, very attractive....no reason for a guy not to go in for the kill. But she was needy (she called me 9 times in the 3 days before our FIRST date!!!!!). I tend to initiate. I did with Angel, and shocked the hell out of him becasue obviously until then he didnt think I was impressed with him at all. Ive had a few others Ive initiated with, both sub and vanilla. Even one Dom, who really wasnt expecting it. I like kissing someone for a first time, (if the chemistry is there) who really isnt expecting it. Then, I make the subbies ask afterwards. I'm one of those lucky few that have always had a preponderance...(as above described), it took me a while to make actual sense of it.
