Absolutely, I wouldn't have one who didn't. I have grown into a far better man than I was and that growth was because I wanted to be the man that they saw when they looked at me. Some of that growth was simply self confidence, some of it was ensuring my good side was more my only side, ie. dealing with my anger issues, some of it was about getting my life more organized and focused. As an example, for years I have thought about getting tested for ADD. I was talking to my girl about the issue, nothing was said. But that day I made an appointment. It was all about dealing with things, becoming a better person, and knowing it will help me with school. Nice to be such a lucky bastard! So yes, I would never want a woman who didn't inspire me to be a better man, a kinder human, and to push myself to be better.

Well, it’s a rare instance that I find time to even look at the forums, let alone contribute, but I would like to reply to my pet - inthatacheyouhav's "sincerest hope" stated above - I would quote it like i see her do, but I don't see how (hey - I read the rules, and it didn't say I had to either be computer saavy, OR smarter than my sub to be her Master (smiles)). Baby, you know that I was Dominant before I found you, but without my sub, I'm master of one (and let's face it, anything's bator (I mean better) than that - smiles). Finding you, has filled my days with smiles, my mind with ideas (hey – good ones too), my soul with hope, and my spirit with direction. Having you has reaffirmed my faith in His design. My thoughts on our lifestyle have – like – soared beyond my boundaries. I can enjoy chats that were just as vanilla as the bean itself (like yesterday), or as wild as our imaginations can take us (those F-15’s ain’t got a thing on that). And come on, the other evening / night / morning – commonplace???? Pulleaze. So…could a “sub inspire a Dominant?” scratching head*…geez (smiles – yes I know) I guess it could happen (I love you babe).

YES i have been inspired by my dominate other in the past. You know i was thinking about that last night How since i am a free sub now i do things differently...

Yes they definitely do inspire me! For many years I have been very non-affectionate and rather militant in my ways. That is just how I was! Before I started into D/s and then later into M/s, I was married to a vanilla that told me on a regular basis that "I was cold hearted". After being in relationships with submissives and then later on slaves, I was in awe of how kind they each were. So loving, affectionate and generally good natured. They inspired me to improve myself as a person. Now I am much more affectionate than I ever was and I show that I can be loving and kind while still being the strict person I have always been. I have much more of a balance these days than when I started and I do attribute much of it to the subs and slaves that have been in my life! Tigress~FL edited for spelling

Through the ages women have inspired men do to all sorts of crazy and some well thought out crud.....We have sailed across oceans, killed each other and created epic artistic works in trying to explain such motivations and inspirations.....Personally most women bore me.....But there was this one....

Dear spanklette, Ladies and Gentlemen; I have been inspired by my first slave Michael (deceased) and all the slaves and submissives who followed; be they in my collar or not. I have been inspired by many slaves and submissives in different ways as well. Sometimes the teacher is taught more by the student(s) and sometimes the teacher teaches and inspires the students more. I proffer to the readers that it isn't much about the authority of inspiration given but, more to the power of inspiration regardless of who is the spark of the inspiration. So, yes --submissives/slaves do inspire me, as a Dominant. And, these slaves/submissives have inspired me to stay in a lifestyle that can be extremely frustrating indeed. I like to think that Rob and I inspire each other. He makes me want to be a better person, helping me to strive to reach my goals and not give up, the same as I inspire him to be a better man and true to himself, wether that means encouraging him with a hobby, a carreer choice or just beleiving in him and trusting him. Friends can also inspire us to want to be better and help us not give up when we are at our lowest,at least the good ones.do :) denika
