angelgirl9631 -> Wondering if it is just me (4/27/2007 9:43:18 AM)

I just have a quick question. I have had submissive/slave tendancies for many years and have been very fortunate to meet someone (who is now my Master) bring out so much more in me. I ended up falling in love with him for many reasons but my reasons do include our lifestyle together. Thank goodness he feels the same way about me. Does this happen to many submissives?

Im sorry but I dont understand the question.
Does what happen to many submissives?

To fall in love with their Dom/Domme or Master/Mistress. Sorry I was typing a little quickly there.

I think falling in love?

A) The the answer to the question that starts "Does anyone else...?" is ALWAYS yes

B)  A great majority of slaves and masters have an emotional/love attachment towards eachother

justheather -> RE: Wondering if it is just me (4/27/2007 9:49:39 AM)

Yes, I think that is "the idea" for many submissives. They are looking for a dominant who is also a life partner.
Congratulations! :-)

i really can't speak for the masses, but i can certainly see how it would be common place.

HarleyKitty69 -> RE: Wondering if it is just me (4/27/2007 9:58:03 AM)

Well it did'n happen to me .. yet
*smile*
I thought with one there was something but it turned out to be only lust........

I can't imagen submitting to someone I did not love, and who did not love me. For me love, trust, honesty, and loyalty all go hand in hand.

Stranger1 -> RE: Wondering if it is just me (4/27/2007 11:45:08 AM)

[;)] It seems to be the default-you need not worry over it.

mstrjx -> RE: Wondering if it is just me (4/27/2007 12:23:56 PM)

It is my opinion, and my experience, that when people new to WIITWD first confront the strength of their emotions combined with the intensities that the experiences bring about, that 'falling in love' is generally not far behind.

I'm certain there's exceptions to that rule, although not much in my experience, but I think it has much to do with that 'captivating' feeling.

I fell in love with Sir. I don't think it's unusual to love someone who accepts us warts and all, and that is something that happens in many D/s relationships. You reveal your weaknesses and discover the other person is not repelled, and continues to want to be with you, and you can't help but love them.

Well, from the people on the boards here, and those I have known in real life, and from my sub side's experience too, it seems falling in love with one's Dominant is more the rule than the exception. My Domme side also wants a sub/slave who will be in love with Her ... for I don't want someone to serve Me just because they'll serve any Dominant Woman ... I want him/her to serve Me because I am ME! And I figure I have plenty of love to go around to both Master and a slave!
