arayofsunshine55 -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 12:33:51 AM)

I'm 5'7" and wear 4 inch heels.  I grew up with men 6'3" and think I developed a thing for them at a young age.  I do like tall guys but 5'10" works well too [;)].

corsetgirl -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 12:54:14 AM)

It does not make a difference to me considering I am 5'1".  I have dated short and tall men.   I know appearance matters but height is not a deal breaker as I am more interested on establishing any connection with a particular dom.

servilecat -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 3:07:37 AM)

i'm about 5'8" .  All the men in my family are 6'3" and up so i'm used to tall and prefer tall and teddybearish.

i have a male friend that's 6'6".  He would kill to be with a woman that tall.  that seems to be His fantasy is a woman His height or taller.

Quivver -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 4:01:18 AM)

I'm almost 5'8, over 5"10 works for me.

then again I like my men like I like my horses.
average at the withers and a bit stocky..................  grin

agirl -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 4:06:44 AM)

It doesn't matter. Some men are tall, no matter what their stature is.

GeekyGirl -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 4:57:09 AM)

At 5ft3, I sure hope they're taller!

LadyPact -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 5:03:38 AM)

At 5'2", height really doesn't matter much, especially if I keep them on their knees.

His1kitten -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 5:41:56 AM)

i have dated men my height but never shorter.  Not that i look for things like that, it is just how it worked out. my One is 6'2" and I am 5'6", i like the feeling of looking up to Him.

jayded34 -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 5:50:25 AM)

im 5ft 2in in sneakers......in heels im 5ft 6.......i prefer someone atleast 5ft9 and above. mostly because i like to look up too. the only way it would be a deal breaker for me is if he fibbed and said he was taller.. but if he fibbed about most anything it would be a deal breaker. what was fun once is i dated a man that was 6ft 8 ,our first date i wore low boots.....the poor man had to bend in half just to kiss my forehead.....i had NO IDEA how tall he really was......LOL

sambamanslilgirl -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 5:56:36 AM)

a man's height is the least of my worries.  i'm only concerned if he's interested in and treats me like a lady, not married or seeing a gf, and doesn't expect sex during the first meeting.

SunNMoon -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 5:58:13 AM)

I like taller but I'm only 5'3" on a good day. But I wouldn't say no to a guy that was shorter then me if he had everything else I was looking for.

MadameMarque -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 7:16:45 AM)

It's not so much that it makes no difference - but that every height has its own appeal, if the man is beautiful.  For example, one of the most beautiful men in the world, hyde, the Japanese artist and performer, though his height is not published, is unusually slight of build.  I can really appreciate a slender, graceful, toned, compact build, on a small man.  It can be very sexy.

A man who is tall and gracefully proportioned, muscular without being bulky, can be extremely appealing, in his own right.  His substantial presence is part of that appeal.  Keanu Reeves is on the tall side and of course, he has a rare beauty.

Ultimately, of course, unless you have an extremely strong fetish for some physical feature, a single physical feature or even a collection of them is not enough to make a specific individual appealing to you.  It will be their presence, as a whole, that will strike you.

TigressFL -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 7:58:33 AM)

My dream male is 6'4 and around 240! As long as they are taller than I am, it is all good! I am 5'3 so that is not hard lol

MsLadySue -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 8:01:53 AM)

I love when a boy is much taller than I. I'm only 5'6" and to have someone 6'2" or taller makes my domination of him much sweeter. For me, the bigger they are, the more fun I have with them.

SirDominic -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 8:21:44 AM)

Hey, canyouguess. Good to see you back, haven't seen you post much in quite a while.

As is being shown with the answers, most women prefer a guy taller than them. It is, I believe, a very biological function inherited from a long time ago. The bigger the guy, the better he can protect you from harm, be it wild animals, or men from another tribe, etc.

And this is hardly exclusive to women. It has been shown again and again that taller men tend to get the better jobs, the higher paying jobs, etc. People in general like a man they can look up to, literally.

Us guys not blessed with the height gene are often overlooked. As agirl said "It doesn't matter. Some men are tall, no matter what their stature is." This is more true than a lot of people realize. I have a friend who is 5'3, and always went for the over 6' guys, and they always turned out to be wimps, because she is a strong women, stronger than them. It took her a long time to realize that strong men come in all sizes. More importantly that simply being tall does not mean strength. She is now with someone a mere three inches taller than her, and has never met a more powerful man.

It is interesting to me from a societal point of view that taller men with shorter women is so very common, but taller women with shorter men is almost unheard of. Not that it never happens, but it is quite rare. Don't you consider that fascinating?

Interesting observation.

I have only been with a man shorter than myself once, and I will admit that it was a huge turn off.

For myself, it's not the 'the taller the man, the stronger the man' aspect, but rather just a personal preference that I have always had. Perhaps it's because I am the shortest person in my family so I have always liked tall.

SirDominic makes two excellent points in his reply.

One of these research reports even goes so far as to announce that "Tall people earn an average of $789 per inch more than shorter people"!!!

But it isn't just height that matters in the workplace; peer group ratings of physical attractiveness (women rated as "attractive" or "very attractive" fare significantly better in pay reviews than their "unattractive" or "very unattractive" co-workers - ironically, in similar studies with men, the difference is still statistically valid, but less so); racial grouping (African-American and Hispanic workers earn an average of 10%-20% less than their Caucasian colleagues); school attendance (the "right" school/college/university can put 20%-50% on your starting salary immediately after graduation, a benefit which carries through into career prospects, salary rises and promotions for years to come); and several other factors (including dental quality, skin quality, ratings of personal grooming and hygiene, dress sense/style/fashion awareness, and voice quality/accent).

At their recent nuptuals, Tom Cruise (5'7") and Katie Holmes (5'9") were stood "cheek to cheek" for their official wedding photographs. Hmmm... something going on there...

Taller, I suppose...there's something about having a big guy in awe of me that I like.

ciara -> RE: Which do you prefer? (4/29/2007 10:05:16 AM)

At 4ft 11, i have no  trouble with finding men taller than i am , but to be honest always prefered men atleast 6ft . The issues was that they all seemed to be less of the man that i wanted them to be. So, i decided to let go of the hight issue and date a shorter man. Guess what? He too was not much in the man department (and i do not men where You think i mean) . Possibly , even though i am submissive, i too am way too strong of a personality for any man i have yet too meet.

Best Wishes
