Has anyone listened to Leo Kottke's 2004 album Try and Stop Me?

I'm a big Kottke fan, seen him a few times and I really love the Live album.

Anyone else into Kottke? And if not, you are big time missing out.

Who could not love that soothing baritone, self-described as the sound of “geese farts on a muggy day”? And who couldn’t get lost in the intricacies of a single twelve-string guitar played as though it was an entire orchestra? From the lilting lyricism of “Theme for the Rick and Bob Report” to the frenetic strains of “Embryonic Journey” (the way Jorma wished he could play it) to the madness of “I Yell at Traffic” there is a joy to his work that truly lifts the soul.

quote:

If you look in the mirror it's your father's face
And the thin grin, the thin grin, the thin grin
It's Santa Claus pulling up snow peas
Everyday in the morning when you get up and you crawl out of bed
(Jack Gets Up – “My Father’s Face”)

I see that face every day.

I’d say more, but I “Can’t Quite Put it Into Words”. Anyway, to do so would be like “Taking a Sandwich to a Feast”. You should listen for yourself.

I have a couple of his albums, I've actually heard he was suffering from CTS and unable to perform the guitarist gymnastics he used to be able to do, and I've been afraid to check out his albums since. Has he gotten better?
