Hi,

Hope you all don't mind me posting on here it seemed as good a site as any but i would just like to ask these men about their relationship with their mother.

Was she abusive in any way towards you? In a subtle way perhaps? Also were/are you allowed to express or even feel anger towards your mother, or even express normal emotions.

The reason i ask is i am studying something like this at the moment and find it most interesting.

ukmale, there are lots and lots of studies that have already been done on this topic. You may want to do some background reading before stomping in like a bull in a china shop.

People try to say that women like being abused for the same reasons.

Guess what? In my experience it's bogus for both genders.

thanks for the reply mons, it certainly doesn't surprise me with what you say about your father, the only reason i ask is because of what i am studying at the moment and we are studying male sexual desires, what was your father like? People are not born this way it is experience that makes them like this unfortunately.

Ditto.  There isn't one thing that happens to every submissive of either/any gender that causes them to be submissive.  Yeah, some are abused, some had dominating/domineering relatives, some were raped/molested, some had A, B, C, and X, Y, Z done to them when they were whatever age.  And some people who had some of those things done to them are perfectly vanilla, some are Dominant, some are switches ... and some people who have never had any of those things happen to them are submissive, vanilla, Dominant or switches.

Your theory, however detailed and/or sophisticated, isn't going to hold up when compaired to real people across the board.

There's nothing unfortunate about it. A better phrasing might have been, "experiences help shape a man's delicious desire for satisfaction of his submissive side."

I understand you are making a study.
In making this statement you are making a sweeping generalisation.
People can be born in a certain orientation - your statement is near enough saying that people are not born a certain way - but created through experience (which of course is the case for some) However, that is like saying that if you are gay - you were not born that way but made.  Not female but made that way - yes?

I'm sorry if I offended anyone.

However, I do strongly believe people are made this way through experience. I accept the point about gay people but I do not belive it to be the same as noone enjoys being abused at birth it is just how you are made by parents etc, a lot of sex offenders recreate the experience they had done to them, unfortunaltely that is how the human emotional body works.

Again sorry if i offended anybody.

Maybe you should state your premise first, with your supporting data before you attempt to generalize and make assumptive statements, expecting people to support them. Not fishing for an another apology, here..that was just, what I think, a valid methodology.

Hi Ukmale dont apologise to anyone, you made a thread and if they wish to say something relevant then they can respond, if not then they shouldnt reply should they?

I'm sure alot of studies have been done but this is a forum and you are entitled to write what you wish, i do think that some peoples submission is developed via nurture perhaps subconcious images of things that are kept deep inside and find there way out through means of expression and when mingled with sexual experiences this can become their fetish.

Speaking from personal experience my submissive tendencies are driven by a desire to worship and the way in which i reach that goal is the route of the dominant lady who immediately understands that need and contrasts this with her need to be worshipped.

by the way do NOT feel you have to back up any ideas you may have, the idea of a free thinking forum is so we can all put our minds to it not become some kind of court room where evidence must be brought up, that is ridiculous and even then its still not concrete. Ideas are good, discussion is good, do not apologise for a question!
