Do you as Dommes have a set length of time for a new sub to service you?

I do not really understand the question? Do you mean, do I tell them you are going to do X for 10 minutes and then do Y for 30 mins?

Define the term "service" -- as you have it above it could be interpreted multiple ways.

Alot see service as alot more than just sex, dont generalize.

Agreed, a definition of service would help.

The post says right there...SOME of the male subs do not think that way. Which is an accurate statement. Had it read "I think male subs do not think that way" you might have a point.

Generalizations are useful. Overgeneralizations are not.

Sorry for the confusion. By service I am not speaking solely of sex. I am referring to the length of time your association, or perhaps contract, endures before you feel it is time to move on for whatever reason, i.e., thay have learned all you can teach, you have a set period before changing to keep it fresh, or a thousand other resasons I can't think of.

MsKatHouston -> RE: Beginning service (5/1/2007 9:07:45 AM)

I don't.  I usually look for long term relationships.  Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.  But it is usually a natural progression and we move on during that nebulous period of "when it is time".  I don't think I have ever set a specific period of time for service.

I have known people who use contracts who have specific contract terms, such as a month, 6 months, a year.  They do not do it as a possible end to the contract moreso than a set time to renegotiate and readdress issues.  It's not really my way of doing things but that does happen sometimes.
