Hi everyone :)

I need your help.

I have decided to tattoo my slave. At first I considered tattoing my autograph on his ass. LOL Lately I am leaning towards placing a Goddess symbol on the back of his neck or the back of his hand.

Here's where I need help. I have had difficulty finding simple Goddess symbols.

Do any of you have symbols you can share?

Thanks!~

Ms Sandi

I ran a quick google search on 'goddess images' and had a few pages of results to sort through. You specified simple, and this one looked interesting

The problem with goddess symbols is that you want to be sure of what exactly they are symbolizing. Some have particular political or religious meanings.

How about the triquetra, as featured in this coin? Its an ancient Celtic symbol for the Triple Goddess and is apparently used in the TV show 'Charmed'.

Is there a particular goddess tradition you identify with?

If the symbol on the coin is too complex you could possibly use a simplified version:

Perhaps You could design Your own symbol that would only have meaning to You and Your submissive.

my Mistress is designing one now that She wants tattooed on me.

You are a Goddess , try designing Your very own symbol.

You might use the Japanese characters for goddess in your design or an image of either Gaea or the fertility goddess, Willendorf If you're unfamiliar with Willendorf, visit http://witcombe.sbc.edu/willendorf/

Creating your own design is probably the most satisfying option. Personally, I'm designing my own tattoo for my boy. It will either say Beach's toyboy or Property of Beach Mystress on the inside (haven't decided yet) and will be in an oval of chain. The chain will link into sea shells at either end and into the BDSM triscele at top and bottom. I'd also considered doing a triscele with shells for the holes, but that negates it as a BDSM symbol.

You could also go for Kanji characters, which if I'm reading correctly, are Asian characters than mean the same thing in Chinese and Japanese. Here is the set that means Goddess. The rough translation is "Female God", thus you need BOTH characters.

http://www.violently.com/pg8/tatguide/abstract/goddess.html

Also remember that the form (shape) of the character as well as the stroke order are important. Go to an artist who has skill in this area.

G'morning all:

Came across something in my internet roamings that you may enjoy for this topic. It came from a Pagan tattoo site and I thought it appropriate. I do agree that the image with the most meaning would be one you personally design, but in a pinch? I like this one best.

Clean, strong lines. Encompassing arms enveloping your special boy and all that surrounds him in your wisdom and protection. The sensualality of the fullness of the figure is striking, hinting at the fertility of the female form yet rendered with a simplicity that can endure. The entirety of the symbol is closed, self-renewing, complete within it's cycle and form.

Hint though? I would find a more circumspect placement. Whenever anyone, myself included, gets a body mod, everyone else wants to ooh, ahh, & know the history, if any, behind it. Unless your subbie is employed in a field that is particularly liberal, it may cause difficulties. Just a thought...

Congratulations and welcome back. Don't be such a stranger.

Stay safe all, play nice & share your toys w/ others.....

Bella

Thank you everyone for your most generous replies.

I am still questing for the perfect symbol for my slave's tattoo, but your help should certainly help. I have decided to place the tattoo on his back where his neck meets his spine. It will be hidden from view under clothing, but in the perfect place for me to view with him kneeling before me.

I apologise for being absent on the boards. I have been busy offline and don't spend as much time these days in this chair. By the time I sit down to read the posts most of what I would have said has already been posted. <smiles> It is nice to be in accord with such a lovely group of women.

Thank you also for the well wishes for my slave and I. We have settled in to the routines of daily life with complimentary style. I have secured the harmony I always sought in a relationship. He is my greatest blessing.

On a side note.....we are already in preparation for Thunder in the Mountains. (www.thunderinthemountains.com) Is anyone else planning to be there? I would love to meet some of you.

Hugssss

Ms Sandi

wow, some great ideas & sketches! when I had my head inked (full skullcap), my inspiration was a book on female goddesses called "Virgin, Mother, Crone"... LOTS of primitive goddess imageries, carvings, pictographs, etc.

Before you tatoo any symbol on a person. Find out what it means. Having such a tatoo dedicates you to a particular deity and can sometimes entail opening yourself to unintended consequences that go along with that god.

The pentagram/pentacle is supposedly one of the earliest goddess symbols (planet venus having a 5 pointed path through the sky apparently), popular with pythagoreans,

My Lady designed ours... her initial and mine to complete the medievalish circle. She was able to work in a double women's symbol at the bottom, but that wouldn't work for you two. ~smiles~ She had our friend/mistress/tat artist place them over our hearts. Mine has since turned into more of an elongated egg shape, D/T gravity + years. Hers, of course, has not, since she's so PERKY. Since I worship her (and chocolate cake), and we complete each other's lives so perfectly, this is what she chose. She has a nice Goddess down her back though, that she, friend and friend's Mistress designed and put on whilst staying with us (boy was I ever busy for those months!). Good luck in your quest, Ms Sandi.
