Question for the house, inspired by a response to one of my previous posts. How many of you ladies that classify yourselves as Dommes or Mistresses are true bondage aficionados?

As someone who is a passionate rope bottom but not a sub, I'm curious as to how many Rope Tops or Love BOndage Tops are floating around out there.....It seems to be a fairly small percentage compared to other facets of B&D and S&M.

My own experience seems to agree with your assessment.  It seems like the greatest portion of the Dommes I know or have played with have no interest in bondage or even seem afraid of strict bondage.  I count myself extremely fortunate when I'm with a Domina who is both a sadist and a bondage enthusiast.

Yup, that’s me. I’m into bondage (still learning). And S&M is not at all my thing.

I would love to find a woman in my locale who is learning bondage. I think the process is accelerated if she has a willing party to practice on.

Maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part [:)]

My play nearly always includes bondage.  It's incredibly yummy to have a sub tied up.  As a matter of fact I took a class last weekend and learned a few new things...that I can't wait to use....I think it's something that you can always find something new to learn about.

BTW earthycouple wants a literary credit for the term "rope fiend." Anything is better than the term "Freak." I've been called that.. (sigh)

Rope is wicked fun,but then again anything that can restrain someone is wicked fun.I have to say I'm more of a Plastic Wrap fiend than a rope one,but I do love rope.I have all kinds of rope in all kinds of colors.Can never have enough rope.

well then you aren't really talking about rope anymore, you are moving into materials such as shrink wrap.... I really enjoy doing full mummifications.

Once I was wrabbed in a combo of rope, Saran Wrap and a sheet, I don't recall what came first.
Very soothing and peaceful.

We are lucky enough in London to have lots of rope clinics.
I love Japanese rope bondage. Its highly sensual and very decorative!

I used to endlessly worry about getting the knots right and trying to copy what others had done and then I had a class with Midori. She stressed that so long as we knew the basics, which are actually very simple to learn and so long as we always kept safety in mind, then we should aim to express our own bondage creation.
