ORIGINAL: siamsa24 He doesn't want me to fight on the 21st and recommends that I don't, but it is my choice. Of course it is your choice, but I think you are making a mistake. If one of your ribs is weakened it could become much worse with additional stress. As for medical insurance... 44 million Americans lack any kind of medical insurance, including 8 million children. Yes, hospitals are required to provided emergency treatment to all comers... but they will bill you for it. And if you don't pay, it will be sent to collections. At the very least your credit rating will be damaged. When I was an under-employed ex-student (not quite graduated) I had no health insurance. I had to get all my care through a "Faith based initiative" -- I prayed I didn't get sick. Well I did get sick. And I delayed going to the hospital, even though it was one block from where I lived, because I had no money to pay. It turned out to be Salmonella... nothing that a couple bags of IV fluid and some antibiotics couldn't take care of. But I wouldn't have gotten better on my own. So yes, Siamsa, I have an idea of what you are facing. And there are millions of Americans who also know what choices you have to make -- pay the rent, or see the doctor. BTW, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation declares the first week of May (which we are in) to be "Cover the Uninsured Week".
