What's with this fashion of adressing submissives AT THE THIRD PERSON??? It fucks me right off. There's something about it that's so pathetically pompous it would have me in fits of hilarity... if only it wasn't SO annoying! I quote clears her throat: "Wishing this one was closer to Me so i could fill your every hole" (that sorry bastard couldn't even get it together to make the conjunction between the third person and the second person of the singular, fnar fnar); "she will crawl to me" - no comment; "What a shame this one isn't near me for my enjoyment" (!!!). Ad infinitum. Where the hell does that stupid syntax stem from? It absolutely sucks, guys, so just don't do it? Purrrleeeeezzze? I'll be ever so grateful not to find inadequately formulated blurb in my littertray. Ta very much!

It is important for a lot of people for a variety of reasons. One of those being that using third person speak forces the sub/slave into a position of objectification. That is just one reason out of many. It isn't about wannabes, it is a form of communication that shows in text as well as speech the status of a slave.. Master.. whomever is using it. It is common within the online world, and many even use it in their RL world. Admittedly it drives me bonkers but I do understand why it is used. I'd rather read third person than try and wade through E/everyone typing with slashes! edited for clarity [8\|]

Hear my cry though: these people do it to me ASSUMING it's okay with me. See what I mean? It doesn't put ME in a state of objectification. It makes me laugh (then I suffer for the English language). twitch, twitch The point of a place like this website is tolerance, admittedly, but come on... some things are intolerable: crap grammar and prejudiced morons [:D] (edited for crap grammar)

Preach it, sister!! I've only had one person send me a note referring to me in third person. And no, I didn't dignify it with a reply. I tried to explain to one fellow who wrote me a very nice note, but kept using the capslash thing that I really could not abide such an abuse of capitalization. He kept doing it, so I stopped responding. I know, I know. They figure if they spew their nonsense wide enough, there will be some dimwit who will respond and be grateful for -any- attention. Pity there isn't a 'grammar' filter, that will send any note using capslash, or 'u' for 'you' into the bulk mail folder. [sm=preen.gif]

i had a "dom" (note the small d) who kept calling me "his girl" in his messages before he was blocked. i don't know what made him assume that i was his girl (men should learn how to read profiles too) however when he said i should be beat for my lack of respect for him - that's when i let him have it.

i recently received an email that stated and i quote "Hello girl flesh" it was the very first thing that i read from this person!!!! can anyone else say "BLOCKED AND TRASHED!!"

They are quite amusing at times; especially if you answer them back like a simpering 3 year old and tell them off...it usually takes them days before they realize they have been insulted

You know, I never got this either. And apparently, from a Dom that's saying something. To be submissive, or even Dominant is about expressing identity against a culture that tells you that you're wrong. To immediately attempt to take away someone's identity (without knowing if they want you to or not), just seems self defeating. To some degree, isn't assuming that all of you that have so far posted want to be immediately objectified like a stranger in a mall walking up to me and offering me her collar? (and yes...I would run)

It doesn't bother me if it's something they want to do on their own. When they force others to play their game, I find it distracting and somewhat rude. I've made more than several people angry for not playing that game. However, it's not my game.

sometimes too, a person can get so used to a certain way of writing/speaking that it is hard to get out of it.speaking of those who can't read..... I had this one guy from Georgia write to me, asking if I wanted oral. when I responded back that I wasn't interested in people outside of Michigan, he wrote back asking if I liked anal. Wrote back to him with 1 word: blocked. then I did just that.
