This video speaks for itself--the LAPD specifically targeted reporters for beatings--7 were injured, including several who were beaten live on the air.  The LAPD fired projectiles indiscriminately, discharging 240 rounds in violation of department policy against the indiscriminate use of projectiles.  Lest you think that the response was violent enough to warrant this level of force, consider that the officers did not make a single arrest.

Los Angeles Police Chief William J. Bratton on Wednesday expressed "grave concern" about his officers' tactics in dispersing a crowd at an immigration rights rally, where police wielded batons and fired 240 "less-than-lethal" rounds at demonstrators and reporters.

Bratton promised an aggressive investigation as public outrage grew over the police actions Tuesday that left at least 10 people with minor injuries — including seven reporters — and raised serious questions about whether officers overreacted when they moved aggressively to disperse a largely peaceful crowd. Eight officers were treated for minor injuries at the scene.

Edit to add:

"L.A. news crews won the right to cover public protests even when police declare it an unlawful assembly as part of a lawsuit brought on behalf of a handful of journalists who were assaulted by the L.A.P.D. while covering the 2000 Democratic National Convention in L.A."

How people can come illegally into this country and demand rights is an even bigger joke than the LAPD.

Its like if someone breaks into your home puts up their flag and demands to be allowed to stay.

The fact that they did it on May 1st should tell you something of it radical left elements.

The Irony of the alien criminals protesting  is that in The United States of America, May 1 has been proclaimed National Law Day is the 50's  http://www.loc.gov/law/public/lawday.html

It is precisely because of these sentiments that the police feel they can use excess violence against the protesters. These are Mexicans but if you change the name to Jews, you get a different take on the issue.

Actually, I doubt if prominent news organizations like Fox and CBS are hiring illegal aliens as reporters.  That means that these reporters were probably American citizens.

This is not a story about immigration.  It's a story about my beloved Constitution being treated as a scrap of paper.  It's mob rule--and the police are the mob.  It's the baton over the rule of law.

Please, the Left treats the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution that way hourly

I don't like that we have so many illegal aliens, But that does not justify the way the police handled this matter. And further more they illegals were not the only ones handle harshly so were American reporters. This was defintally excessive force. I think alot of police officers are gonna be losing their jobs.

This comes from another thread...The time for our Goveernment to act is at the border...Not by harassing the citizens of this Country....It will be interesting how much money this "action" will end  up costing in law suits.
