Send me 5 copies of the emails you send to women on this site and I'll critique them for you. Nice picture in your profile with the background and all. Shows you have a life. Have it taken again but next time comb your hair, shave, put on nice clothing and look like a winner next to those trophies. Be carefull of the glare from the flash. Pictures on profiles are first impression makers.

All good points. First impressions do count. I'd also suggest copying the text from your profile to a program with spell check, editing it, and replacing what you have with the edited text. Similarly, as big a pain as it might be, I'd suggest composing your emails on that same program, running spell check and then pasting them into the message body here at collarme.

What if he's one of those kind of people though, who's hair has a life of it's own?? I really really try to avoid showing pictures of myself with perfect hair, because I know that at least 90% of the time, it's never going to look like that in real life...

first of all, remove the pink from the intro on your profile....do you have another pic where you are smiling or look maybe a bit friendlier? try to be a lil more "uplifting" on your intro instead of harping on about the negatives of this lifestyle .... other than that, i dont see any problems...just have patience, yours will come! : )

edited to add this:
oh, very important, please please please, i can't stress this enough, get a spell check, or a dictionary, whatever....just try to use proper spelling, that will make the first impression and i am not saying this to be offensive, honestly trying to help you...misspelling can be a turn off for many.

Your best bet is to become part of the local scene and get to know people. Here are some links to help you find it.

It is going to be difficult finding your partner in a conservative rural state such as Kansas. The WOOLF group that Beach Mystress mentioned has the advantage of being based in Wichita, so it is close by you.

The idea of re-doing your photograph sounds like a winner. I like your idea of showing your involvment with horses. Perhaps you could actually be photographed with a backdrop of a stable or a horse or a wall with some tack hanging from it. And a confident smile - show that you are in your element.

If you want to share your search strategy and how you decide who to contact, we might have some suggestions. And people have actually posted a sample letter that they might sent to a prospective sub, simply to get feedback from the forum.

In any event, good luck!

I like Beach Mystress' suggestioin - get out to some local events. She was even kind enough to leave you some links!

By the by, I think your profile is wonderful! I like the picture - it says a lot about you and it shows that you're real. I like what you have to say too. I do agree with others about cleaning up minor details with spell check etc. Lyrics weren't bad either so long as they were put together with some blues...

Well I'd sure bite on your ad - well, if I lived in kansas... and if I weren't an owned slave and well.. if I weren't a leatherdyke... LOL. Good luck with finding what you're looking for!

Paddleman, your profile isn't jejune
and I know that good spelling may seem picayune
But misspelling's distracting
So for better attracting
Run a spellcheck, and do it real soon!

Your profile is moving in its sincerity
But between that and your posting, I see a disparity
Add in more style
To the skimpy profile
To show that you're really a rarity.

Just one more suggestion, and then I'll be done
When writing to "ladys", you speak well to none
For a one-woman seeker
Plurals are weaker
Lose the "ladys" and talk to just one!

Hey, for all you know he is a professional songwriter. I've heard songs worse than that, haven't you?

Welcome to the boards, and I'm looking forward to reading your contributions that aren't insults!

PS: Thanks Kisshou!
