For those of you who are bondage babes (or guys), how long are you bound? Yes, the correct answer is as a long as the master desires,but how long is that?

The physics answer is, about 25 minutes no pain, then it becomes increasingly uncomfortable in rapid decline.
Could be something to do with my age? lol

The use of 'props' things i can be tied 'to' or 'over' extend play dramatically.

Keep in mind, that im not just stationary in a vacuum whilst bound. Stuff is happening, im using energy, lots hopefully.

And there are levels of 'bound' which can stretch as long as your imagination, from a ball gag, for oral binding. To verbally boud, as in 'dont move a muscle' to tied up in beautiful cotton rope and cant go anywhere.
I notice, that if my hands are above my head, the 'bound' feeling increases.

heat in the room im playing changes how long i can comfortably be bound. Too hot, (we live in australia) and some forms of bondage are just for winter months. After just a few moments in bondage, when the room is too hot, shoots my claustraphobia through the roof. Where as, if the room were cooler, it would even be a issue.

There are many variables within what you ask

I am generally bound for less than an hour, though I am open for longer periods of time in bondage.

Don't you have air conditioning?
That's one of my first considerations after safety, comfort.
My sub/slave should be helpless but comfortable too.
I like positions on a bed or table that can be maintained for long periods in comfort.

 In my past I would hogtie girls for hours. Often leaving the room, and still getting pleasure knowing that my captive property was there for my needs or desires. I have even slept that way, I must say that I do sleep well with a girl bound however (now I do caging instead, when possible). 
I know now what an IDIOT I was. Bound, gagged, blindfolded....without supervision.......stupid! 
I now will keep a girl bound for as long as I know she is safe, and never leave for more than a few minutes.. Sometimes the length is determined by my desire to put her in new positions, a captive doll for my benefit!! 
SOOO, what has been your best bondage experience?

Depends on the position. I have a very bad back due to my... um... well you figure it out.. and I can't stay in many positions for very long, particularly those that have me laying down. However, I have been bound for an hour or so, with Valyraen checking on me to make sure that I was all right.

I don't have one best bondage experience.
I have some favorites though.

At a party the wicker seat of a "papasan" chair was turned upside down and I was bound, bent over backwards, across the bowl. Sushi was served on my bound body. I was pinched and prodded with chopsticks, and my nipples were used as chopstick holders (they were held on with rubberbands).

Lee Harrington has tied me more than once in demos, and I have loved every single time.

At the first Austin Rope Symposium I met Ellie the Nomad, a rope artist from the UK. They were having what is called "Artistry in Rope" demonstrations where the attendees could see actual rope scenes after spending all day in seminars learning the dry practice practice of rope ties. Ellie and I talked and I was her rope bottom for the Artistry in Rope. The woman is absolutely amazing, and our energy was phenomenal. I treasure the memory and would love to work with her again sometime.

Finally, Sir once sat down and took me at my word and tied a rope corset on me as tightly as I wanted it. We used scratchy sisal rope and he tightened it to the point that I had bruises for days. I was high as a kite and absolutely giddy, as I truly adore tight tight rope.

One to six hours would probably be the "standard" amount of time that I have personally experienced...but I have been bound for periods that were several days in length. Of course, extended bondage needs special considerations....position changes and such.

It depends on the position, but Mrs. C has had me bound for hours at a time without serious effect. Last weekend it was about 2.5 hrs or so in the back yard standing between two trees, but she's had me tied up in a chair or whatever for longer than that.

Up to her, though she keeps an eye on me.

When she does leave to go shopping, I always, always, always have a simple release available so that I can get loose and she doesn't bind me in extreme positions those times.

Edited to add:  We also use remote cameras sometimes so she can keep an eye on me by changing the channel or seeing on the 2nd TV.

there is no set amount of time...or position or anything else.  you can train a well human being to manage bondage for many hours....but we all have physical limitations...and we all have DIFFERENT physical limitations.  I have one partner I can throw in a closet bound til morning another I have to becareful of a shoulder injury and need to reposition often.

Best bondage experience....that's easy...cocky little guy came to visit from afar...claiming "I pretend I can't escape from bondage to make Dommes feel better".  Well that little pup couldn't have escaped from my rope work had he been given a pair of scissors.  Then I put needles in his chest....*eg*  My rope wasn't pretty...and I really am all about the pretty....but damn it he had it coming.

I often sleep restrained in safe ways (as in, no asphyxiation while I sleep, hah). So that means sometimes 12 hours at a time. I am an absolute whore (pardon my french) for being bound and tied up. Perhaps that's why I act so out of line.

Generally, it depends on the position. I can go for hours secured to the bed, but in other postions less than an hour. Just depends...I am not particularly fond of being bound for hours, but since it's not generally my choice, fondness doesn't really come into play.[;)]

I agree it depends on the type of bndage and physical limitations. But there is nothing wrong with R.A.C.K. bondage.

I have been tied up and left alone for a few days with liquid feed, and several body function connections.

And with regular bondage, I am usually chained or caged for a couple days.

Shibari and strict ties I have worn for a couple hours, and a chest harness with a strict tie I have worn for 3 days. It did leave some bruising, but oh so wonderful patterns. lol

If I am going to be in bondage where it only causes small aches and pains, but no damage such as circulation cut offs etc.. I will take a quarter dose of tramadol or vicodin to releive the crampy feeling you can get in the legs etc, however I stay aware enough to move the muscles in that area. Enough to lessen, not remove it.

I have played with a neuro surgeon who was able to keep me in a hospital bed with comatose connections bound in rubber for 19 days.

Where there is a will there is a way for bondage.
