I haven't seen any "understanding of this lifestyle" in Kaboom's postings. The ones I've wasted time reading seem to be all about his ego or he has a very twisted sense of humour. Either way I see no "wit".

He understands his version of "the lifestyle" but displays an intolerance for those who live a different version. Apparently his version is the one Heretic subscribes to.

Yes, I agree with you AquaticSub.

He states in his profile "no drama queens" yet it seems he doesn't mind drama kings or being one.

And for somebody who claims to have 2 jobs, she sure is here a lot.

Lilgirl, you obviously have very limited perceptions of Dominance.  Kaboom has a lot more understanding of this lifestyle ( for those with the wit to see it) than any of the chatroom players you think are "cool."

Why do you care how often she is here?

he must be cyberstalking me

Great. Fantastic.  Different strokes for different folks.  What gives certain constant posters the right to destroy a thread that others might enjoy?

Permit me an analogy.  I decide to hide from the heat one afternoon in a theater showing a Christopher Guest movie.  Not everybody likes his stuff, but I laugh my ass off.  A little cluster of people in the theater with me don't get the jokes.  Rather than just hopping to another film, they start talking loudly amongst themselves and creating a ruckus.  Since I'd have trouble demading a refund on this site, I'm trying to get the idiots to either shut up or leave, just like I would at the movies.

It's like coming home and discovering your cat pissed all over your favorite section of the newspaper.

Kaboom wouldn't know the definition of Dominance if he hadn't looked it up in a dictionary.  It takes more to be a Dominant than waking up one morning and saying wow think I'll be a Dom today.  Hell I know more about being a Dominant than Kaboom.  So dig your panties out of your ass and stop defending the nit wit.  Everyone who read his post (except you) saw him for the joke he was.

Yes!  You've hit the nail on the head.  It's called Satire, and good satire was hard enough to find before Hunter Thompson ate a .45.

Really easy, if his profile doesn't make you laugh out loud, just walk away.

It's not destroying it. Apprently nobody wants to talk about it. We aren't stopping Kurt from coming back and continuing discussion about tattooing "whore" on his slave and we aren't stopping anybody from reading the OP and making another post about it.

Satire:

1. the use of irony, sarcasm, ridicule, or the like, in exposing, denouncing, or deriding vice, folly, etc.

2.
a literary composition, in verse or prose, in which human folly and vice are held up to scorn, derision, or ridicule.

3.
a literary genre comprising such compositions.

What folly is he holding up? Is he pointing out that masters really shouldn't do whatever they feel like with their slaves? Is he trying, in some befuddled, unclear way to show us that some people live too much in their heads?

Perhaps if I was feeling quite indulgent, I would apply the title satire, but frankly I don't think the post has enough merit.

"Fraid I didn't get the e-mail about you being appointed humor Czar, Aquatic.  At this point, you are only highlighting your own limitations.

       Goodbye.

Please show me where I claimed to be the humor Czar. I'm just pointing out that I don't think this piece is worth the title of satire. However, if you would to get into a literary analysis of it, I'll be happy to show it to my English professors and get their opinions of the value on this. You write up your opinions as to why it is satire and should be respected as satire. We'll compare notes over lunch.
