I have very, very few people hidden. It's almost a philosophical thing about being able to accept uncomfortable or unpleasant things. I have one person blocked because I just can't stand looking at his face. It looks like he's smelling something bad. (His attitude stunk, too.) Another one I blocked because of the same shitty attitude syndrome. Three more I blocked because they crashed and burned when we were getting to know each other. And the last ... I thought he might be interesting. He didn't feel the same. I tend to be pretty persistent, so I'm using the "out of sight, out of mind" approach. I will block someone pretty easily, but hiding someone feels like censorship or book banning. MSS

I'm not looking for anyone in particular, and fugly profiles are gruesomely fascinating (in the same way as the decomposed corpses are on CSI). No one has managed to get persistent enough to offend me beyond the amount I've offended them--they run first.

ok I hide one person because he's really cute, and I didn't want to add him to favorites and he's eye candy. [:D] I like my eye candy not to know they're my eye candy. Like coffee boy never knew, and new coffee boy doesn't know. hehe

When I read the thread title my nifty little mindset went more along the lines of ......... "tan your hide", as in a spanking. I was totally clueless as to what this meant and had to read the thread to figure it. LOL [8D]

Gypsy - i like the way you think [:D] I've never used the "hide" feature but in reading this thread I think I may start, I like the idea of not seeing some of the same profiles over and over.

I hide the profiles that really offend me, or the creepy ones. Sometimes I'll also hide one that's inside my search parameters but obviously nowhere even close to what I'm looking for. Block is reserved for people with whom I have had e-mail exchange and have decided squick me out.
