MemphisDsCouple -> Each to his/her/their own.... But..... (5/6/2005 11:22:19 AM)

You know how those seemingly random profiles pop up before you log on and after you log out? From one of those profiles:

"I am a pre-operative MtoF transsexual woman, lesbian in orientation."

Are there some contradictions in that? Or do I just need more coffee?

Like the title of this thread... if that's how he/she labels him/herself and it gives them peace, seems fine enough <shrug>

Have some more coffee [;)]

male to female. It's self explanitory. A lot of MTF's are living their daily life day to day as a female even with out the full surgery. And lesbian means she preferes women.

Easy.

Either that or some horn dog guy trying to be clever... who knows. There are some things in this lifestyle I've learned just to pass by as quickly as possible... for me, that one would be one of them. [;)]

That's not odd at all. I know a handful, some have been close friends.

They are women, not men. They were born in a man's body. That is a birth defect. They deal with in in many ways, from simply trying to pass to getting surgery to embody their real gender.

Gender orientation has nothing to do with sexual orientation. These women are attracted to women. There are no contradictions. Just a more complex situation, often too complex for some simple black/white minds to wrap their head around.

I have to say, I'd pass over something like that almost instantly... Just trying to work it out makes my brain feel numb, I mean, maybe it means something to someone, but I can't get my head around it very easily.... I don't think it's because I'm too black/white, I think it's more because without something real to relate it to, it's just this abstract jumble which makes no sense to me. I'm the same with everything... I can't even conceive the idea of my one day being 25 years old. Or 21 years old...

junecleaver -> RE: Each to his/her/their own.... But..... (5/8/2005 8:56:55 PM)

I have no experience in that area and don't totally understand it. Although from my own personal experience I contradict myself all the time, sometimes to the suprise of even...myself.

I think I'm the one who needs more coffee though.

ansfrid -> RE: Each to his/her/their own.... But..... (5/9/2005 4:53:47 AM)

It's *possible* it's just an angle a guy is trying to work to land a lesbian profile he has fancied...but I'd rather not be so cynical as to assume that. I'd just be inclined to think she has a woman's self identity, and is primarily attracted to other women.

Here you go, you need another cup-O-joe.....

Okay, I admit I had to reread their description a few times before I understood. Tuesdays do that to me...LOL

"I am a pre-operative MtoF transsexual woman, lesbian in orientation."

In other words:

Born male between the legs, female between the ears who is attracted to females. A Male to Female operation is in their future, therefore post-op she will fall into the lesbian category.....

Now my head is spinning.

I actually do not have a problem translating that decription at all. It seems very clearly written.
The ones I puzzle over, and I have only seen this on pages from boys who live overseas, is identifying as a male slave or a male submissive but then saying their orientation is lesbian. And nothing in the profile to indicate any MTF, cross dressing, or anything of that nature. I see these when I get a letter of admiration and usually a request to chat with a chat ID volunteered on their end. Since I am not identifying as a lesbian, it *seems* they are approaching Me as a straight FemDom.
I have always just assumed that it is a misunderstanding of the English language, since I don't think so many would slip and check the wrong sexual orientation box.
Has anyone else seen these?
